After being sold in more than ten million copies around the world, Richard Osman's book series THURSDAY MURDER CLUB is being 
adapted into a feature movie directed by Chris Columbus and now we have first teaser with Helen Mirren, Celia Imrie, Pierce Brosnan and Ben
Kingsley who lead the
cast as three of the four septuagenarian friends who live in a
retirement community and solve cold cases for fun. When a shady
property
developer is found dead, the four find themselves in the middle of
their first live crime. Variety reports that 14 studios fought for the
movie rights
on this one. David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays and Henry Lloyd-Hughes also star in the movie which will hit Netflix August 28th.

DeleteThe Thursday Murder Club è un giallo brillante e originale, dove un gruppo di arzilli pensionati risolve misteri con acume e ironia. Richard Osman intreccia suspense e umorismo in un racconto coinvolgente e sorprendentemente tenero.

It is nice seeing older people getting lead roles and Osman's book truly was a hit around the world.
DeleteQuite the cast and something to look forward to on Netflix for a change. I hope I can find something exciting, like solving murder mysteries, in my golden years.
ReplyDeleteOy, not sure I would like to deal with murders in my old years, not that I expect to experience them.
