As war burns across England, he forms an army of the people to face the King’s might in a fight for justice and survival! He is joined in the rather stellar cast by Jamie Bell, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, Katherine Waterstone and Woody Norman. FIRST LOOK AT HALF MAN SERIES

Straight from BBC and HBO we have the first look at buffed Richard Gadd in their new series HALF MAN in which he stars next to Jamie Bell as brothers Ruben and Niall, who reunite after years of estrangement, leading to an explosion of violence that catapults us back through their lives over the course of the series. Mitchell Robertson and Stuart Campbell will play them in their younger years in the six episode series that spans four decades from the 1980s to present day! Story explores highs and lows of Ruben and Niall’s relationship, from meeting them as troubled teenagers to witnessing their falling out as adults with all the good, bad, terrible, funny, angry and challenging moments along the way!

 

 RUPERT EVERETT JOINS RIVALS SEASON 2

Disney Plus is about to start filming the 12 episode second season of their hit series RIVALS and have added Rupert Everett and Hayley Atwell to the cast of the show set in the glamorous world of 1980s British television against the backdrop of the Cotswolds countryside, with the second season dealing with heightened power struggles and deeper rivalries as careers, marriages and reputations hang in the balance. Aidan Turner, David Tennant and Alex Hassell return to the lead roles. Atwell will portray Helen Gordon, the ex-wife of Rupert Campbell-Black and mother to his children Marcus and Tabitha. Everett will be Malise Gordon, her husband and Campbell-Black’s former show-jumping coach and mentor. 

 

 

YOU ARE KILLING ME DRAMA ADS CAST 

Over at Acorn TV they have added Tom Cavanagh and Amalia Williamson to their six part crime drama YOU ARE KILLING ME with Brooke Shields in the lead. Set in a quaint New England colonial town, formerly knows as Ally and Andi, follows bestselling novelist (Shields) who forms an unlikely alliance with Andi, an aspiring writer and podcaster (Williamson) to find the killer of a close friend. Cavanagh plays Jack, the new lead detective of the Founders Cove Police Department and former city slicker who is trying to acclimate to the quirks of small-town life.

Searchlight Pictures have finally released a trailer for fantasy romance movie ALL OF US STRANGERS from director Paul Haigh in which Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal fall for each other. Based on a novel by Taichi Yamada, the movie starts one night in a near-empty tower block in contemporary London, where Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal), which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell), appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before. The movie is set to hit US cinemas December 22nd as a Christmas gift, with UK release from January 26th.

If, after watching last year's Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, you feel nostalgic for some more legendary music, do not despair, later this month Elton John's biopic ROCKETMAN will land into theatres near you, from May 24th directed by Rhapsody's Dexter Fletcher! It is not exactly a biopic, Elton calls it a sort of a movie of fantasy stories based around his greatest hits but it does also describe how he started writing some of world's biggest ever hits and how he developed his unique image enjoying love and fun along the way.

As 'Variety' reports, he will play his manager John Reid in ROCKET MAN musical movie about his life. You already know that the latest Robin Hood Taron Egerton is actually playing Elton John in the film (and singing too), while Jamie Bell is also on board to play song writer Bernie Taupin! Reed, legendary music manager in the ’70s and ’80s who also helped with Queen’s rise to fame was John manager for thirty years till 1998. At some point they were also lovers, but their romance ended after five years following the leak of a letter from John’s accountants detailing Reid’s spending. The two would continue to work together professionally until 1998.
