Dar Zuzovsky takes the lead role in the film

Two  years ago I told you first about this one and then I showed you first photos from Dutch director Michiel Van Erp costume movie drama A BEAUTIFUL IMPER- FECTION about Casanova and one of the women he loved. Now we have the first poster for the movie that does not have a release date nor a trailer yet.  With Jonah Hauer King and Dar Zuzovsky in the lead roles, the cast will also have Aneurin Barnard and Sam Hazeldine.  I am hoping we will get a trailer or at least a teaser soon, but until then you can enjoy the poster and the first images from this costume drama.

 

 WHAT IS THE STORY?

Based on the novel In Lucia’s Eyes by Arthur Japin, which has been sold in millions of copies around the world, it follows the love affair between notorious adventurer and womanizer Casanova and a girl who becomes disfigured by smallpox and flees Italy for Amsterdam. Sixteen years later, they meet again when she has reinvented herself as a mysterious veiled courtesan now known by the name of Galathée. Without revealing her true identity or showing her face, Lucia and Giacomo become lovers once again. Will Lucia dare to reveal herself and turn her weakness into her strength so that she can be truly free in the eyes of her great love?

This historical fiction novel imagines the story of Agnes, the wife of  the world’s most famous writer, William Shakespeare, as she struggles to come to terms with the loss of her only son, Hamnet. It charts the emotional, familial and artistic consequences of that loss, bringing to life a human and heart-stopping story as the backdrop to the creation of The Bard’s Hamlet.

One of Hollywood's most anticipated films, fashion designer Tom Ford's second directorial project NOCTURNAL ANIMALS (after 2009's A SINGLE MAN with Colin Firth and Matthew Goode) is adding new actors to the cast! According to 'Variety' Aaron Johnson and Michael Shannon have joined Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal who are in the lead roles. The big screen adaptation of Austin Wright’s novel  follows a woman (Amy Adams) who receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband, who she left 20 years earlier, asking for her opinion. The second part of the story revolves around a man (Jake Gyllenhaal) whose family vacation turns violent with Shannon playing a detective investigating the violent incident while Johnson plays a mysterious figure who may pose a threat to the family.

Here's something wonderfully epic: 'Deadline' reports that Paris based Backup Films and GOT director Neill Marshall will produce eight episode historical TV series BRITANNIA which doesn't have a broadcaster yet but will chart the Roman invasion of what would become Great Britain in 43 A.D. and the rise of iconic female warrior Boudicca. The eight part series, which does not have a broadcaster attached yet, will follow the growing relationship between Boudicca and Roman Consul Cassius who ultimately unite to lead an insurgency against Roman Emperor Claudius.

Diego Luna will play Giacomo Casanova who, after his wicked escapades run afoul with the inquisitors in his native Venice, is sent to prison. The drama focuses on what happens next - after escaping, the once materialistic and womanizing CASANOVA moves to Paris with nothing, determined to start his life over. There he met with royalties and luminaries, introduced the state lottery, which made him rich, and travelled.
