THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM

Warner Bros has unveiled lead cast for Andy Serkis directed LORD OF THE RINGS: THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM in which he will also repeat the role of Gollum. Kate Winslet joined previously as Marigol, Smeagol's grandmother, with Lee Pace returning as Elven king Thranduil
and Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf. With Elijah Wood back as Frodo, Jamie Dornan joins as Strider aka Aragorn while Leo Woodall will be a character named Halvard. Set between The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring, it will follow Aragorn’s perilous quest to capture Gollum before the creature can reveal the Ring’s location to Sauron. The film is out December 17th 2027.
