After Brazilian Radioactive Emergency, a nuclear disaster series which quickly became one of the leading global hits for the streamer, we are getting another new television series from South America, this time it is SANTITA new Mexican seven episode long series starring Gael Garcia Bernal as the male lead with rather talentless Paulina Devila as the female lead. Available for streaming on Netflix as of April 22nd, it tells the story of María José "Santita" Cano who, after being wheelchair-bound from a crash, left her love at the altar. 20 years later, his return makes her face her past choices and test the limits of her love. The only Mexican series that I have watched was Bianca Vidal. I think I have watched it when I was about 15...and the gals in that LONG series were all so beautiful and natural. p.s Things are getting quite expensive over here too, but veggies, salads and fruits are still acceptable..well, just my husband eats them..so not really a problem. Meat is EXPENSIVE and that's the only thing I enjoy. Bought lots of cherry radishes at a local farmer market last Saturday..geez, really cheap. I think I spent 70 cents for 2-3 kilos after trimming the greens (not so green anymore). I, and another lady, we both shared a whole case. I still have lots of Bärlauch/wild garlic I picked in the wood.
Wowza that is really cheap, radishes are a euro per one small bunch here at my local grocer and so are scallions. Tomatoes are seven euro a kilo in my local supermarket so I have to buy them downtown where they are still expensive - about four euro. Early spring potatoes which have just appeared are also about four euro a kilo currently which is quite insane. And most people here get like 500 euro a month salary.
