ReplyDeleteA little bit of relaxation this February
DeleteThe storyline sounds cute.
ReplyDeleteIt does.
DeleteI've become so fed up of British TV's buy a house in the country/do up a country pile/property programmes in general I don't feel myself warming to this though it's drama rather than documentary. Then I wouldn't want to miss something good because of prejudice.
ReplyDeleteWell it is good for people to keep buying homes in the country so that the country does not die out.
DeleteIf I had unlimited income, I'd love to buy a cheap home in Italy or France to restore. I often wonder how people can buy a massive chateau and spend 3 years renovating it by themselves. Like, what y'all doing for income in the meantime? How can you afford to do that?!
ReplyDeleteThose 1 euro properties are usually set in some godforsaken village where you have no phone lines, internet and shops, that is why they are so cheap, so investing so much money in such a dump is like throwing it through the window because the house will never be worth much in such a place. Plus, under their laws you cannot bring foreign handymen, you have to pay theirs and they are pricey and won't work in some far away hamlet.
