SEE LAVISH TRAILER FOR CATHERINE THE GREAT HIGH END HISTORICAL DOCUMENTARY MOVIE ON THE RUSSIAN EMPRESS

    CATHERINE THE GREAT
TRAILER FOR EPIC NEW DOCUMENTARY MOVIE
The movie is out in Russian cinemas next month
We have seen a number of films and shows on the Russian tsarina, but now February 20th is bringing CATHERINE THE GREAT (Екатерина Великая) lavish high end documentary movie which mixes documentary narrative with live action scenes into Russian cinemas as the continuation of the documentary franchise that includes Peter I: The First and the Last and Empresses. Directed by famous Andrey Kravchuk, it sees Anna Mikhalkova, Olga Lerman, who play the older and younger Catherine, and Victor Dobronravov in the lead roles.
WHAT IS THE STORY OF THE NEW MOVIE?
After the era of palace coups, a new bright historical figure will appear - Catherine II. Like many, she could limit herself to the title of the emperor’s wife, but with her perseverance and determination, Catherine was able to prove that her place was on the throne. At the age of 14, she learned that she was to become the bride of Peter III and the mother of the future heir. These statuses did not worry Catherine much; her cherished dream was to rule: she saw the potential of the Russian Empire and wanted to embody the ideas of enlightenment in it. Are Catherine's ideals destined to become reality? And will her ideas turn against her?

    1. Cannot have a wonderful day, deary, since meine country has been in revolution for two months now, we are protesting in the streets every day, students have blocked all colleges, on Friday we had general strike in all fields, nobody worked, and the dictators is mowing down student protestors with cars and buses in the streets. Meanwhile, EU and the West are quiet behaving like we don't have a revolution going on because they work with the dictator so that they can plant their lithium mines here which we are also blocking with protests.

    2. It's sad that we don't get that kind of news here. I was just talking to my best friend today about your protests and your nasty little dictator and she was even shocked. She was like, "I never would have thought Serbia was like that!" Of course not, because they don't care enough to report on real issues. But I read all about the Lively Baldoni drama several times on our mainstream news, the Superbowl, and other nonsensical shit. They didn't even cover the massive storms that just blew through Ireland, which were the worst recorded storms ever. I have to hunt down all of the foreign news stations just to get the top headlines from across the globe because they sure don't report anything worth a damn here anymore.

    3. You do not get the news, deary, because US supports him as they have a deal, they want him away from Russia so they keep him on a leash. The same with EU. We are basically left on our own. The prime minister resigned two days ago, so the government is down after their hooligans broke a female student's jaw, but it is just a ploy because the government will still stay in power until the elections which we do not want and do not accept under his supervision because he will rig them again. We want for the public attorney to arrest them all and end our misery. On Saturday we will be blocking for 24h all bridges in Novi Sad and we still have daily massive protests in all cities with schools and universities blocked and not working. It is literally a historical revolution and nobody is reporting on it because they need him to sell them our mines for their electric cars and to sell them Kosovo. And they don't care that he is beating kids up, he even uses fake 911 vehicles to mow down students in the streets, and the first victim was a street dog called Dona whom one of such emergency trucks killed a few days ago while trying to mow down students, she is the first lost life in the protests, the students are working to give her a monument in Novi Sad.

  2. We won't get this one here, unless Netflix decides to pick it up and put it in their foreign section. Probably not though.
