  3. You had me at Hugh Laurie!! Now I have a million and one questions, Dezz. One being, will he keep his accent? That's just my starting question, I have many more =PPP

I've always been a fan of Jerry O'Connell. I used to love watching him in Sliders. What a great show that was!

    1. ooh, I adored SLIDERS, especially Kari Wuhrer in it. I've never got to see the end of that show and the cat recently told me what happened in the final episode.

    2. I stopped watching it when they lost O'Connell =(

But, last night, we popped in our Robocop DVD and watched it and laughed at the cheesy graphics and the poofy hairstyles of the time. It was so much fun!

  5. I'm a huge fan of Hugh Laurie so seeing him cast as a villain in Robocop will probably be enough to get me into the theaters for this remake.

It's surprising to me that they are making a television series based off of books that haven't even been released yet. I wonder how that works? Maybe some people are just born into money.

    1. yes, books having film rights sold have been one of the latest strange phenomena. I've even had an example of a book which was sold for movie adaptation even though it was only ordered to be written by an author, which means that is hasn't even been written yet :)

  8. No surprises, but THE STUFF OF LEGENDS sounds awesome. As does RISE OF THE GUARDIANS.

On a side note, shouldn't your avatar be more borg-like now? ;)

  15. Hugh Laurie playing the villain... Does that mean he will have to speak British again, I wonder, for for some reason villains often do in American movies.... Rise of the Guardians looks great. Something to look forward to, Dezz. :)

    1. I guess you need to be smart to be a villain and thus they give them British or Slavic accent :)))

  16. I like Hugh Laurie and Samuel L. Jackson fascinates me, but I still don't want to see Robocop. The first one put me off that badly.

I've seen some of the old Munsters shows with the Hubby and since I really liked The Adams Family movies, I'd give this one a go as well. The Spawn and I were just watching the old Adams Family shows on DVD this past week. A friend gave them to her and we've been laughing every night at those shows.

Superheros are the rage this year it seems. Rise of The Guardians seems to really tap into our need to be rescued from the times in which we live by turning treasured childhood fantasy figures into superheros. I'm interested in seeing how they do this one.

GUARDIANS might have problems with THE HOBBIT which gets out pretty much the same time.

  19. I'm withholding judgment on the new Munsters as the original is such an indelible part of my childhood. I do love Jerry and Portia so I'm going to give them a chance.

I love the idea of The Diviners as well as the Boogeyman versus Toys war. Rise of the Guardians just keeps sounding better and better. :)

  22. Wish they'd bring Sliders back, screw the Munsters, but yeah it might be good, doubt it though. Prob go all Twilight wannabe. And really pulling out all the stops for the Robocop one.
