"SPARTACUS: WAR OF THE DAMNED" TO BE LAST SEASON! DOUGLAS BOOTH & LOGAN LERMAN JOIN RUSSELL CROWE IN "NOAH" EPIC! "BLACK PANTHER" & "JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA" FILMS IN WORKS!

Now that's kinda nice: Deadline reports that two young hunks Douglas Booth (playing Romeo next to Hailee Steinfeld's Juliet) and Logan Lerman (PERCY JACKSON, THE THREE MUSKETEERS) have joined Russell Crowe in dark epic NOAH directed by Darren AronofskyDouglas Booth will play the younger Shem, and Logan Lerman will be his older brother, Ham. There were rumours before that the gritty version of famous biblical legend of Noah and the flood, will have Jennifer Connelly as Noah's wife and Saoirse Ronan as Ham's love interest. The film is set for March 2014.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
According to "MovieWeb" Marvel is eyeing their comic book hero BLACK PANTHER as the star of their next superhero movie
franchise. They are currently preparing THOR 2, IRON MAN 3 and CAPTAIN AMERICA 2, and they already have the script for BLACK PANTHER which might get into production as soon as the above mentioned sequels appear in cinemas. The character is the chieftain of the Panther Clan in the fictional African country of Wakanda. His powers are derived from a special herb that grants him superhuman strength, speed, and stamina. At the same time, Warner Bros. has hired a writer to pen JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA movie adaptation. It is interesting that Justice League members THE FLASH and WONDER WOMAN both have screenplays in the work.

WAR OF THE DAMNED
Sad news, all you SPARTACUS lovers! Speaking to "The Hollywood Reporter", Steven DeKnight, the show runner, has revealed that next year's third season will also be the final one! Aired in more than 150 countries around the world with high ratings, the show will start it's last season next January titled SPARTACUS: WAR OF THE DAMNED.
As you know, after the death of almost all major characters in the end of the second season, the last run of the show will see Liam McIntyre's Spartacus wagging war against Rome lead by young general Caesar (Todd Lasance). The decision to end the show in its highest was influenced by the real historical story of the slave rebellion against
Rome which was quite scattered all over the place with Spartacus fighting off waves and waves of Roman generals, which would make the show repetitive. That is why the producer is cutting out the boring parts and leaving the final battle against Spartacus to Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells). In history, the story ends in a sad way for
Spartacus, but the producer is promising that they will give the final scene an optimistic hope to show that it is still worth standing up against oppression. How to find victory in the face of defeat and what happens when you win but you lose will be the main topics of the final season. There is also a possibility of JULIUS CAESAR spinoff if the character becomes popular among the audience.

  1. Black Panther should be cool - I've read some of his appearances in Marvel Civil War and on the Avengers animated show, so it should be a good one to see, especially as an origin story. I'm hoping Issac Mustafa's Luke Cage bid means he's also in the running for this.

  2. I kinda want to the see the Justice League movie when it comes out, although I doubt it will be as amazing as the Avengers.

    1. I agree, VENGEANCE was slow at moments, so they should end it before it loses momentum and they could continue with JULIUS CAESAR spinoff!

  5. Yeah sad to see Spartacus go, but at least they aren't going to drag it on and on like they did with Hercules way back when, season 4 and 6 of that were a joke. Justice League movie huh? Bah still like Marvel better, but you never know.

    1. it's true, THE TUDORS were for example a bit dragged on. Such shows need to know when to end, although this decision is surprising. I guess Liam wasn't as good as they thought he would be.

    2. Yeah I was very surprised that they ended it so soon. Expected it to go to season 5 at least. Guess he wasn't as good, oh well one less show on my list.

    3. it was originally planned to shoot five seasons as is the case with all other epic shows. I will miss Lucy Lawless a lot :(

  6. I never gave Spartacus a try but I agree with Pat, at least they didn't drag it on. That's the best way to ruin a show in my opinion, drag it on until all the characters and plot is ruined. So many super hero movies...will be interesting to see how Warner Bros. handles one of them.

  7. Yep, it was always a good bet that Spartacus would have to be a short-lived series, given true historical facts. And I like the angle they are taking on the ending. It's so true, and the reason we're still talking about Spartacus thousands of years later.

  8. Dont get mad, I am no fan of any of these movies. I literally cried for movie 300 - meaning not because I was moved, it was so horrible and it was my hubby bday and he ordered that in pay-per-view in different town.

And these another avenger- i cant handle my body ,soul nothing can handle that torture

    1. I loved 300 because it was visually revolutionary. What it brought in that respect has changed a lot in the business. And it gave us lots of actors who later on became major plays such as Gerard Butler, Michael Fassbender....
I also don't like super hero films. They are always horrid.

  9. I'd not heard of the Black Panther before. Sounds interesting. I didn't finish watching Spartacus season 2 so I'll probably skip s3

  11. i keep hearing about Spartacus and how im missing out on it. Does it compare to a show such as game of thrones??

    1. The question would be does GOT compare to SPARTACUS, since SPARTACUS is ten times better and has incomparably better writing and acting.

  12. Wonder Woman actually has a film script in the works? Don't tease me, Dez. I have been wanting one forever.

Not liking Jennifer Connolly in Noah. Of, course she is a very boring, one-dimensional actress to begin with.

    1. it does, but you know that it means nothing in Hollywood. They have my own biography in the writing there and I don't expect ever to see a movie about me LOL

  13. Eep!! You're Super Hero talk is making me all hot and heavy!! Iron Man and Thor are bad enough, now they want to add another to the mix? Ohh, I wonder who they will cast as Black Panther. If I pick a few favorites can you work some magic to have them casted? ;0)

    1. they will cast some of the black gods from Hollywood, Idris Elba would be my guess, although I'd love to see Anthony MacKee in it.

  16. Have you noticed lately all the little boys out of Hollywood lately have that Justin Beiber look?

Noah and Black Panther look interesting.

Too bad I don't have Starz; I know I'd love Spartacus. Blood, swords, men in nothing but heavily armored loin - things. Yep, my kind of Saturday viewing :)

    1. That's just an old pic of Douglas, he doesn't have that hairdo any more :) I've never actually understood why American boys wear such monkey hairdos? We don't do it here in Europe :)

You're sadly mistaken, sister, they usually don't even wear loin cloths, but go free willy :) All of them :)

  17. Even as a DC fan I don't see how a Justice League movie would work. Nolan's Batman wouldn't fit around super powers, so that would have to be rebooted, and I'd be pretty put off if a new Batman's first appearance was a JLA movie.

    1. I despise Nolan's Batman, which is the worst film ever and he himself has destroyed a good super hero. I wish to see a new Batman without all the morbid darkness and perversities.

  20. Justice League of America? so there gonna try and cash in on the success of the Avengers movie? Lame! I hope to see a Black Panther movie soon! (or a Falcon movie! which I'd like more!!)

Funny if they make a show about Caesar it could lead into the show called Rome (where Caesar was one of the main characters intil his death in the first season!)

    1. they've actually been trying to make LEAGUE for years now, possibly even before AVENGERS happened, but didn't have enough luck.
Yes, that's funny, and I loved Octavian who came after Caesar in season two, played by amazing Simon Woods.
