You know how last year I mentioned how Charlize Theron has been present in the film business for some time now, has the looks and the talent, but has never actually

had a big film to be remembered by. Well, it seems that those days are gone, and that this will definitely be her year. She kicked it off earlier this winter with her praised role in YOUNG ADULT (earning critics' approval after her MONSTER Oscar winning role), and then later this summer she has two major blockbusters - Ridley Scott's sf epic PROMETHEUS with Michael Fassbender and SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN with Chris Hemsworth in which she will look all divine and naughty as the evil queen. You've seen the trailers for both films and know how Charlize dominates in both. And now a new project has been announced for Charlize: according to "Variety" she has closed the deal to star in currently mysterious sf flick AGENT 13. The plot is kept under wraps but there's a battle between studios for it and it will be directed by Rupert Wyatt who helmed RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES blockbuster last year! Charlize is also to appear in MAD MAX: FURY ROAD next to Tom Hardy, but that one is in status hiatus.

Zola's THERESE RAQUIN is all ready to start shooting soon and the update is that it will be shot in Serbia with Jessica Lange, Elizabeth Olsen, Oscar Isaac and crazy Matt Lucas (LITTLE BRITAIN, BRIDESMAIDS) in the lead roles. Elizabeth Olsen plays the title character, who is trapped in a loveless marriage to her sickly first cousin, Camille (Tom Felton), and living with his mother (Jessica Lange). She begins an illicit love affair with Camille’s friend Laurent, which leads to a tragic outcome for all three. Meanwhile, one of HOLLYWOOD SPY's favourite actresses, divine Toni Collette will join Steve Carell in THE WAY, WAY BACK. Sam Rockwell  and Annasophia Robb will also star in the story which follows a teen boy who struggles to find himself as he comes to terms with his unattentive mother (Collette) and cheating stepfather (Carell) during summer vacation 

The only trailer for today is for a film which my ladies will flock to see: dramatic comedy MAGIC MIKE which hits cinemas this June, and has a rather hunky cast including Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Bomer, Matthew McConaughey, Adam Rodriguez,

Joe Manganiello and Olivia Munn. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the film is set in the world of male stripping and is actually inspired by Channing Tatum's own early days. The story revolves around Mike (Channing Tatum) who takes a young dancer

called The Kid (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money. As you can see from the trailer and the pictures, all of the boys are in shape and ready to dance away scantily clad when the film premiers this summer.

GERARD BUTLER GOES SF IN "AFTERBURN" AND ACTION IN "MANHUNT"! SYNOPSIS FOR HENRY CAVILL'S "MAN OF STEEL"! TOUCHING TRAILER FOR "GOODBYE FIRST LOVE"!

According to "The Hollywood Reporter" another comic book will get its movie adaptation: graphic novel AFTERBURN by Scott Chitwood

and Paul Ens in which the story is set in a future where solar flares have left half the world a ravaged wasteland filled with mutants and pirates. Buried beneath the ash and rubble are priceless artefacts, which wealthy Americans will pay any price for. The main hero is a treasure hunter who leads his team into the quarantine zone, facing rival bounty hunters, rogue armies, pirate gangs and deadly mutants along the way. The last time I've heard about the Relativity Media project, Gerard Butler was attached to star in the lead role, and Tobey Maguire is one of the producers. Speaking of Gerry Berry he will also star in MANHUNT, as a part of a team of FBI agents sent to the North Carolina wilderness to chase the FBI's most wanted man, domestic terrorist and survivalist James Tollan, who has eluded arrest with the support of the local population while attacking the federal government. They enroll the help of a reluctant bear

hunter to capture the killer. But once the team enters the woods, the hunters become the hunted as Tollan will stop at nothing to survive and defend his territory. Who chooses these roles for him?!?

Speaking of sf, there's also another new project titled ALTER in which the story follows a team of scientists aboard a space station monitoring activity around a black hole when they receive a transmission showing their deaths at the hands of mysterious aliens. Meanwhile, Legendary

Pictures has finally revealed the official synopsis for next year's MAN OF STEEL: In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. You know that situation when, after a long, and sometimes desperate search, you finally open your heart and find someone whom you will love to death, and you give yourself totally and innocently, and then that someone becomes

the death to your heart after leaving you for some reason which is unknown to that someone as well. And then you join the afterlife, chasing shadows and lurking in the darkness, trying to find light in order to guide your heart out. And then, a miracle happens, a third someone appears and gives you a hand, and a heart as well, and you finally breathe again and love again. And then the first someone comes back like a flash from the sky after realizing yours was the true love, you are what that someone needs. A realization that comes too late to that someone, only to hit you in the healed heart again and make you suffer? Well, it seems that's what this touching French film is about. GOODBYE FIRST LOVE is currently in limited release in USA, and it brings a chronicle of the romance between Camille and Sullivan, which begins during their adolescence. Each time he comes back to life, he finds himself becoming a better fighter. Emily should portray a woman who fights next to him. As you remember, Emily Blunt will be seen this year in sf film LOOPER next to Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon Levitt and in romantic film THE FIVE YEAR ENGAGEMENT next to Jason Segel.

Michael Fassbender, for the lead role in Biblical sf epic NOAH, which will bring a very dark and edgy version of the famous legend, Darren Aronofsky has started choosing ladies in the cast too: according to "Movie Web" Jennifer Connelly, who is mostly known for her marriage with Paul Bettany and not for her roles, is in talks to join the film which would reunite her with Russell Crowe once again after A BEAUTIFUL MIND. She would play Naameh, Noah's wife. The same source says that young Irish star Saoirse Ronan might also join them in a supporting role. The film is currently set for March 2014. release!

Oldman will star in Robert Luketic's thriller PARANOIA in which the story revolves around a young man who funds a lavish retirement party for a co-worker with company funds, and is caught by his boss. Accused of embezzlement, he agrees to spy for the boss to avoid prosecution. He is forced to infiltrate a rival company and steal information on a top-secret project. "Variety" reports today that X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and BATTLE: LOS ANGELES star Lucas Till has joined the cast as a co-worker and a friend of Liam's character. Lucas will also join Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode in Wentworth Miller's STOKER.

One of the fantasy sagas that Hollywood is counting on in the future as a possible franchise, the movie adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, has just gotten a new male lead: Alden Ehrenreich will take the job over from Jack O'Connell in the story about two teens who must confront a curse that has haunted the girl's family for generations. As I've reported earlier, Emma Thompson will play a dual role of a small town religious zealot and a dark witch, while the female teen role went to Alice Englert. Emmy Rossum will play the girl's cousin who becomes a dark witch too, and Viola Davis and Jeremy Irons are also in the cast. Alden, who was, believe it or not, "discovered" by Steven Spielberg at the bat mitzvah of a friend of Spielberg's daughter, was one of the candidates for a role in sf epic AKIRA last year, and will also star in Wentworth Miller's STOKER next to Nicole Kidman, Dermot Mullroney, Lucas Till and Matthew Goode.

According to "Variety" the director of the successful MY WEEK WITH MARILYN film, Simon Curtis has found himself a new project: titled CLICK TO CONNECT, it will be a romantic anthology set in the online dating world in which the story will revolve around a collection of characters, ranging in age from their 20s to 60s, whose approach to online dating varies according to their circumstances and their past.

And Eric Bana's currently untitled suspense thriller in which he will play one of the ex-lovers who find themselves placed on the defense team in a terrorism trial, is getting quite a nice cast: always amazing Jim Broadbent (MOULIN ROUGE, THE IRON LADY), equally amazing Ciaran Hinds (ROME, JOHN CARTER), deeply charismatic Riz Ahmed and brilliant Anne Marie Duff (THE VIRGIN QUEEN, also known as James McAvoy's wife), have all joined the film.

Speaking of amazingly charismatic actor turned screenwriter Wentworth Miller, beside the above mentioned STOKER ( Which will follow a teenage girl mourning the death of her father who deals with a strange uncle who mysteriously shows up to meet the family) he's just finished another script of his own. Titled THE DISAPPOINT- MENTS ROOM it will, according to "The Hollywood Reporter", follow a family that moves into a mysterious old house in the country and discovers that it has a dark past. The PRISON BREAK and RESIDENT EVIL AFTERLIFE star will also do some acting this year, since we should see him in LOFT which, with a cast stolen right of my wildest dreams - Karl Urban and James Marsden, revolves around five friends who share a loft for their extramarital affairs and begin to question one another after the body of an unknown woman is found in the property. Wentworth has an MA in English language and literature so it's no surprise that his scripts are well paid in Hollywood.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE & BEN AFFLECK IN "RUNNER RUNNER"! RUSSELL CROWE OFFICIALLY IN DARREN ARONOFSKY'S "NOAH"! TRAILER FOR TOUCHING DRAMA "IN THE FAMILY"

 A rather hunky cast awaits us in a project just mentioned over at "Variety": pop sensation and a very talented actor and a natural charmer Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck will lead the cast in $30 million film RUNNER RUNNER. There are not much details on this upcoming project, but one thing is known - the story will be set in the world of illegal online gambling, which should not come as a surprise,

since Ben Affleck already had similar films and is privately known as a poker expert and he even won $356,000 by winning the California State Poker Championships in June 2004 - defeating some of the best poker players in the world in the process. Timeberlake will on the other hand, also join Amy Adams and Clint Eastwood in TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE, a film about an ailing baseball scout in his twilight years who takes his daughter along for one last recruiting trip.

After a short exile from the big projects, mostly due to his behaviour in the public, it seems that Russell Crowe is experiencing a revival. You already know that him and Hugh Jackman are taking the lead roles in LES MISERABLES,

but now it is also official that he is taking the lead role in dark epic NOAH. Scheduled for March 2014, which is two years from now, and directed by Darren Aronofsky, the story will be set in a world without hope, a world with no rain and no crops, dominated by warlords and their barbarian hordes. In this cruel world, NOAH was a good man. Seasoned fighter, sage and healer but he only wanted peace for him and his family. Yet every night, Noah was beset by visions of an endless flood, symbolizing the destruction of all life. Gradually, he began to understand the message sent him by the Creator. He had decided to punish the men and kill them until the last. But he gave Noah a last chance to preserve life on Earth... The role was first meant for Christian Bale and Michael Fassbender.

The only trailer I have for you today is for an extremely praised indie drama IN THE FAMILY which deals with one of the most tragic

issues of the modern world faced with prejudices against gay parents. In the town of Martin, Tennessee, Chip Hines, a precocious six year old, has only known life with his two dads, Cody and Joey. And a good life it is. When Cody dies suddenly in a car accident, Joey and Chip struggle to find their footing again. So, people, tell me how did you like the eight part $40 million historical mini series THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH which aired back in 2010? The poster of the show became one of the most Googled artworks HOLLYWOOD SPY

has ever done :) Beside giving us some of the currently hottest young stars from glorious Eddie Redmayne (who later on scored amazing roles in BIRDSONG and MY WEEKEND WITH MARYLIN and is shooting LES MISERABLES now), David Oakes (who scored the lead role in THE BORGIAS later on) and adorable Sam Claflin (who later on became Hollywood's hottest good with roles in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN) to Hayley Atwell (who ended up in CAPTAIN AMERICA), the show was also nominated for Globes and Emmys, and it was aired in dozens and dozens of countries around the world. WORLD WITHOUT END STORY

Your HOLLYWOOD SPY has had the pleasure to talk with gorgeous and extremely dear British actress Caroline Boulton (ROBIN HOOD), who also stars in WORLD WITHOUT END, and here's what she exclusively told me

when I asked her how it was at the set, how did she like the costumes etc: "This sequel is set 200 years later and is based around the same town and descendants of the characters in the first Emmy winning series. It was a 6 month shoot but I had a truly fantastic time filming on the enormous sets. My costume was unbelievably detailed and would take a lot of help to put on each and every layer, I needed a lot of help each morning! Each and every costume was specially tailored to suit the characters traits. The beautiful attention to such thoughtful detail from the costume department was just mind blowing! The entire cast and crew were all absolutely wonderful, such total professionals in every department. I really am so excited and I just can't wait to watch it."

I think we are having an action Saturday today, my little freaks. First, "Deadline" reports that super charming Robert Luketic (LEGALLY

BLONDE) is preparing something different from what we would expect from him since he is working on espionage thriller PARANOIA which just got young Liam Hemsworth (the brother of Chris and boyfriend of Miley Cyrus) in the cast right beside Harrison Ford and Garry Oldman. This will be a movie adaptation of a novel by Joseph Finder in which the story revolves around a young man who funds a lavish retirement party for a co-worker with company funds, and is caught by his boss. Accused of embezzlement, he agrees to spy for the boss to avoid prosecution. He is forced to infiltrate a rival company and steal information on a top-secret project. Coming in the future, Liam also has ARABIAN NIGHTS epic with Anthony Hopkins and TIMELESS, a film about a man who is tormented by the things he left unsaid before his wife passed away so he uses the money his wife left him to build a time travel device, so he can see her one last time.

Since I know most of you like the kindest action star Dwayne Johnson, here's a piece of news on him: according to "The Hollywood Reporter", he will take a role in Warner Bros. sf action LORE. This is actually a movie adaptation of a graphic novel by Ashley Wood and T.P. Louise in which the story is set in a world full of mythical creatures long since held at bay by the secret society of Shepherds. But when the Shepherds' line of succession is broken, a reluctant hero finds her life threatened from every quarter. And the creatures are coming back: Will the Earth be ready for their return? As you remember, Dwayne is appearing this summer in G.I. JOE: RETALIATION next to Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum and also has DAVID AND GOLIATH epic to shoot next year with Taylor Lautner.

Ok, so as I promised this week, here's the first trailer for sf action LOOPER with a great cast lead by stunning Emily Blunt, Bruce

Willis and Joseph Gordon Levitt. Opening in cinemas this September, this time travel adventure thriller is set in a world which has time travel - but it is illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a looper - a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) - is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to close the loop, sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. So, Bruce Willis plays the older version of Gordon Levitt. I don't like the look of the film in the trailer, looks very cheap to me.

If you like AMC's worldwide hit show THE WALKING DEAD you

might like a new one coming from its creator Robert Kirkman. According to "The Hollywood Reporter" his new project will be THIEF OF THIEVES and will follow the latest heist trend in Hollywood. Based on Kirkman's comic book, the series will revolve around a reformed art thief who takes on various jobs stealing only that which has already been stolen, returning various high-end pieces to their rightful place, or to the highest bidder. One of my fave TV faces, adorable Zach Gilford, who played the good guy in FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and a doctor in ABC's doctors without borders medical drama OFF THE MAP, will wear the white coat again since he was cast for a new untitled medical drama which will see Jordana Spiro playing a young thoracic surgeon who becomes indebted to the South Chicago mafia and is forced to moonlight as a "mob doctor" while also working full time at Chicago's most prominent hospital. Zach will play a handsome blueblood who works alongside her.

The trailer I have for you today (tomorrow I will probably bring you LOOPER trailer) is for romantic drama TAKE THIS WALTZ, which hits theatres this June and has Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Luke Kirby and Sarah Silverman in the lead roles. Taking us

through the familiar, but uncharted question of what long-term relationships do to love, sex, and our images of ourselves the story of the film will actually be bitter sweet since it will see Michelle playing a happily married woman who falls for the artist who lives across the

street. The trailer provoked a very heated discussion over at YouTube, pouring hatred over cheating wives, and the most popular comment over there is a touching one saying the following: "Guy makes you laugh, he values you above all else, would do nothing to hurt you, provides for you, proposes to you and marries you, buys a house for you to live in,

"AGE OF THE DRAGONS" EPIC TRAILER & POSTER! "GAME OF THRONES" RENEWED FOR THIRD SEASON! EMILY WATSON & LENA HEADEY ARE "THE PRISONERS"! GLENN'S MAGGIE BECOMES REGULAR IN "THE WALKING DEAD"!

The Hollywood Reporter" says that Emily Watson, Anna Friel and GAME OF THRONES Lena Headey have joined THE POISONERS, where they will play women left behind in an English farming community during World War I who becomes involved with several German prisoners-of-war. Director is Jon Amiel who worked on THE TUDORS and THE BORGIAS. The same site also reports that THE WALKING DEAD third season will have Lauren Cohan as the regular cast member. She plays Maggie, Glenn's girlfriend, who will now become one of the fearless group leaders and a faithful partner to our beloved Glennzie :) As you remember, the show will have another new female regular, Michonne, the crazy lady with a sword and two armless zombies, her ex boyfriends, whom she leads around on a chain. Colour me scandalized :)

I'm guessing that you have already heard the news of the day: GAME OF THRONES has been officially renewed for the third season. The fantasy show based on George R.R. Martin's epic saga has been behaving epic in the ratings department since the début of the second

season this month and has been having record numbers of viewers around the world. The third and the fourth season of the show will be based on the fourth book in the series A STORM OF SWORDS, which is the most popular among fans. According to "MovieWeb" the book is filled with twists and action and needed to be separated into two

seasons of TV show, not just one. The third episode of the show, WHAT IS DEAD MAY NEVER DIE, which airs Sunday April 15th will see Tyrion plotting three alliances through the promise of marriage at the Red Keep. Catelyn arrives in the Stormlands to forge an alliance of her own. But King Renly, his new wife Margaery and her brother Loras

Tyrell have other plans. At Winterfell, Luwin tries to decipher Bran’s dreams. Colour me confused with all those names and new characters....Tougher than trying to remember all of Alexis' outfits from DYNASTY :) Hope you like these pics I've made :)

Well, people, it seems we shall deal with some comedies today. First of all, "Deadline" reports that after HORRIBLE BOSSES Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis will join forces again in WE'RE THE MILLERS. The story of the film will see Jason Sudeikis (the role was first meant for Jason Bateman) playing a pot dealer who hires a fake wife and two kids in order to create a fake family so that he can smuggle 1000 pounds of weed cross country in his RV. Jennifer Aniston will play the fake wife, who is actually a hooker, good Lord, while the two kids, yet to be cast, will be juvenile delinquents. Colour me scandalized! :)

If you are in the mood for some crazy comedies, here's an original one: according to "MovieWeb" two Academy Award winners, Shirley MacLaine and Alan Arkin will join forces in WILD OATS. The

story of the hilarious comedy revolves around a retired widow (Shirley MacLaine) who hits the jackpot when she receives a Social Security check mistakenly made out for $900,000 instead of $900. She and her best friend (Jacki Weaver) then take off for Las Vegas, only to become media sensations and fugitives from justice. It is interesting that the rest of the cast also has some well known names such as Christina Ricci, Christopher Walken, Bill Pullman, John Corbett, Maria Bello... The third comedy for today might have gorgeous Gemma Arterton (PRINCE OF PERSIA, CLASH OF THE TITANS) in the lead role. Titled THE WRIGHT GIRLS, the story of the comedy will revolve around two young actresses who live together, pretend to be best friends and are co-stars on a successful television show. In reality, they detest each other and go to extreme and violent lengths to do one another in when they end up competing for the same movie role.

And the only trailer me has for you today is also kind of a comedic one. It's for a romantic comedy

LOLA VERSUS in which Greta Gerwig (who is, beside Kristen Wiig and Steve Carell, one of the greatest mysteries for me, since she seems to have no acting talent at all with her frigid facial expressions and expressionless approach, but still gets leading roles?) plays Lola, a 29-year-old woman dumped by her longtime boyfriend Luke (Joel Kinnaman, looking better than ever! As you know he is our new ROBOCOP, and was supposed to play the first knight in ARTHUR AND LANCELOT epic) just three weeks before their wedding. With the help of her close friends Henry (Hamish Linklater) and Alice (Zoe Lister-Jones), Lola

embarks on a series of desperate encounters in an attempt to find her place in the world as a single woman approaching 30.
