PRIMAVERA BIOPIC FIRST IMAGE IS HERE

Back in October I told you that we are getting a biopic on Antonio Vivaldi the Italian Baroque composer and violinist who composed “The Four Seasons”! And now we have first image from PRIMAVERA  the feature debut of Damiano Michieletto, an opera director. Set in 18th century Venice, the movie follows Cecilia (Tecla Insolia), a 20-year-old violin virtuoso who lives at the Pièta orphanage. Despite her talent, Cecilia remains confined within the orphanage, knowing that marriage is the only way out. Yet, her life takes a turn after she meets Antonio Vivaldi (Michele Riondino), a brilliant and ambitious composer who becomes the new violin teacher. Guided by Vivaldi and his music, Cecilia finds the strength to challenge the destiny that once seemed inevitable!

Beside Amadeus series and Ravel movie, we are now getting a biopic on VIVALDI as well to be helmed by John Ottman, Bohemian Rhapsody Oscar winning editor according to Variety. Much of Vivaldi’s work was mysteriously lost for over 200 years, only to be rediscovered during World War I. Today, Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” is one of the most recognizable, recorded and performed classical composition in the world. Vivaldi joined the priesthood in the early 18th century to be commissioned to write music, much to chagrin of his jealous rival and church hierarchy. His first assignment was that of music director of an all-female orphanage orchestra where he developed a secret affair with a teacher. The film will tell his story of forbidden love, deceit and the transformative power of music.
