Australian Foxtel and streamer Binge have released a trailer for the third season of their THE TWELVE series with Sam Neill in the lead role as a prosecutor with a new case and twelve new jury members in each season. 
 
 Out August 4th, new season titled THE TWELVE: CAPE ROCK KILLER is unlike any other as things get personal for Brett Colby (Sam Neill) after he is thrust into a murder trial to defend the husband of a life-long friend accused of a heinous murder. As the trial unravels a deeper mystery, a 1968 cold case murder of two teens is re-opened, and the twelve jurors sworn in for the trial find their own lives changed by the experience. Ewen Leslie leads the jury with Danielle Cormack also in the cast. The eight episode series also airs on BBC in UK.

Revival started June 12th on SyFy
 in Australia:  REVIVAL a supernatural horror noir television series based on the American comic book series of the same name by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton. The eight episode series will also stream on Peacock and Crave.
 
 THE STORY
In a rural Wisconsin town, the sudden resurrection of the recently deceased becomes known as "Revival Day". The newly revived maintain their appearance, memories, and personalities from their previous lives. While the town's residents grapple with the miraculous event, local police officer Dana Cypress investigates a murder mystery where everyone, including both the living and the undead, are suspects.
 
WHO STARS IN THE SERIES? 
Melanie Scrofano plays Dana Cypress who is constantly having to prove her worth to a stubborn sheriff, who just so happens to be her father. And just when she is about to leave her small town for good, the events of Revival Day change that, instead sending her into her most important case to date. Romy Weltman is her sister Martha "Em" Cypress who, having led a very sheltered life due to a recurring illness, is still figuring out her place in the world. A world that, for her in particular, is now turned upside down. David James Elliott is Wayne Cypress the longtime Wausau sheriff who is determined to keep his town and family as normal and safe as possible — a tall order when the dead return to life in the small town he's sworn to protect. Andy McQueen is Ibrahim Ramin is a scientist from the Center for Disease Control who has been stationed in Wausau to study the bizarre phenomenon that brought people back to life.

Binge and BBC have released first trailer for their new six episode comedy series THE LAST ANNIVERSARY set on Scribbly Gum Island, a place of many secrets. The one that made it famous – the disappearance of a young couple decades ago – might have made the island a destination for true crime tourists but when it comes to secrets, the three generations of women that call Scribbly Gum home hold far more. When Sophie Honeywell (Teresa  Palmer) inherits a house on the island, left only to her by her ex-boyfriend’s great-aunt Connie, it’s the fresh start she’s craving, despite the unwelcome reception she receives on arrival. Single and approaching 40, Sophie is intrigued by something else Connie left her – a promise that she might finally find the man of her dreams on the Island. But perhaps what Sophie needs is an island full of women instead? Miranda Richardson also stars in the series that will air on BBC, Binge and Foxtel from March 27th based on a Liane Moriarty novel.

After the success of the first season and the second one winning numerous nominations for Australian Academy Awards, Foxtel's legal drama THE TWELVE which deals with new set of twelve jury
Ewen Leslie will be one of the new jurors
members in each season is returning for the third one as well with Sam Neill returning as the lawyer. Our dear Ewen Leslie is new in the cast together with Danielle Cormack, Eryn Jean Norvill, Sarah Peirse, and William Zappa, Phoenix Raei, Hanah Tayeb, Nathalie Morris, Catherine Moore, Bolude Watson, Bessie Holland, Stuart Daulman, Paul Tassone, Charles Napoleon An, Libby Stone, and newcomer Claire Leach. Tracy Mann, Marlon Williams, and Hannah Diviney are in supporting roles with Kaila Ferrelli back as Colby’s legal assistant. This time, in eight new episodes jury’s attention will be focused on a mystery from the 1960s. The series also airs on BBC in UK.

Foxtel and Binge have released a trailer for the second season of award winning Australian series THE TWELVE which returns July 11th with Sam Neill and Frances O Connor in the lead roles. After the first season which followed twelve members of a court jury in urban surroundings, season two will take us to Western Australia, to the rural township of Tunkwell! When local landowner and respected town matriarch, Bernice Price (Kris McQuade), is found dead at the bottom of her farms pump well, two ex-lovers stand accused of her murder. Twelve ordinary citizens from diverse backgrounds have been plucked from the township and its surrounds to decide the fate of the co-accused – was Bernice the victim of a crime of passion, a workplace accident or just misfortune? Erroll Shand also stars.

PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON NOLLY MINI TV SERIES WITH HELENA BONHAM CARTER, MAX BROWN, MARK GATTIS, AUGUSTUS PREW

While this is already available for streaming as of this month over at ITVX for viewers in United Kingdom, it will hit Northern American audience March 17th when the three episode mini series NOLLY will start airing on PBS. If I got it right it will also stream on Foxtel in Australia and it had its linear UK premiere on ITV during New Year holidays. Created by Russell T. Davies, this series is exploring the reign, and fall from grace, of the inimitable British soap star, Noele Gordon played by Helena Bonham Carter. The cast also includes Max Brown, Mark Gattis, and Augustus Prew.
The series was shot in three episodes
 
 NOLLY MINI TV SERIES TELLS THE STORY OF 
Noele (Helena Bonham Carter) who was a legend in her own lifetime. As flame-haired widow Meg Richardson in the long-running soap opera Crossroads, she was one of the most famous people in Britain. Then in 1981, at the height of the show’s success and the peak of Nolly’s fame, she was axed without ceremony, without warning and with no explanation. With the boss’s words “all good things must come to an end” ringing in her ears, Noele Gordon found herself thrown out of the show that was her life for over 18 years. The series comes from Made Up Stories, the company that created Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers
 
THE NEW SERIES WELCOMES US
 into the world of former magazine editor named Evelyn Jones (played by Keddie) as she makes the leap from blogger to leading force in women’s digital media with her website Eve. Evelyn is perfectly imperfect as she navigates the ever-changing world of publishing, the highs and lows of motherhood, and the end of her marriage to Jon, played by Matt Day. The series will also explore female friendships and workplace dynamics and is inspired by real life media mogul and Mamamia founder Mia Freedman’s bestselling memoir, Work, Strife, Balance. In the case you need a new comedy to watch this Autumn which probably won't have any new series on air, you might turn to this comedy created and written by husband-and-wife team Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, who also star as the show's main characters, Gordon and Ashley. Stay tuned, as we continue our Australian weekend on Sunday as well! In USA it will air on Paramount + from November 9th!

Well, it comes sooner than I expected, but Australian Foxtel has released today a trailer for the second season of HOTEL PORTOFINO period set drama which hits the streamer February 12th and will air on ITV February 3rd and later this year on PBS in USA. Set on the Italian Riviera in the 1920s, HOTEL PORTOFINO tells the story of the Ainsworth family that has relocated to Italy to set up a quintessentially British hotel in the beautiful town of Portofino. Amidst the rise of Fascism in Mussolini’s Italy, season two will see Ainsworth family relations reach breaking point and the future of the hotel threatened. Embracing themes of sexual and social liberation, season two will see Natascha McElhone reprise her role as owner of Hotel Portofino and family matriarch, Bella Ainsworth. Mark Umbers plays her charming but dangerous aristocratic husband, Cecil, Oliver Dench is their handsome son Lucian, Daniele Pecci as the dashing count Albani, and Lily Fraser will return as the hotel’s most famous guest singer-turned-movie star, Claudine Pascal. Roby Schinasi has joined the cast as the handsome Victor Michel.

The Twelve will commence June 21st
new event series THE TWELVE finally starts starring Sam Neill as the judge in this courtroom drama that tells the story of 12 ordinary Australians who are selected for jury duty in a murder trial as traumatising as it is controversial, in which a woman stands accused of killing her teenage niece. Behind the façade of their anonymity, these twelve ordinary people bring with them their own histories. Lives that are as complex as the trial, full of dreams, secrets, hope, fears, personal trauma, and prejudice. Through the multiple lenses of these jurors, audiences will see the fragility and imbalances of the law, and the chaotic and flawed way we attempt to determine justice in our society. Over ten episodes the limited series will explore the lives and loves of the people who will decide the fate of the accused, their histories, their conflicts, their families, their secrets. This includes a gentle suburban mum whose husband’s adoration may be hiding coercion, a builder torn away from his responsibilities, a star student struggling with being a role model to his indigenous community, a chronic gambler with money problems and a brash millennial plagued by traumatic memories. The values they bring and the challenges they confront will shape the different ways they react to the unfolding trial.
