NEW NETFLIX GLOBAL HIT TV SERIES
Currently global top series over at Netflix is non English series from Brazil RADIOACTIVE EMERGENCY which has been available for streaming as of March 18th with the story set in 1987 while physicists and doctors race to contain a massive radiological disaster and save thousands of lives in the drama series inspired by true events. Johnny Massaro, Paulo Gorgulho, Ana Costa lead the cast. In 1987 Brazil, scavengers discover a mysterious glowing substance in an abandoned hospital. As the material changes hands, scientists and doctors desperately work to prevent a radioactive disaster from claiming countless lives. Netflix received a great deal of backlash when it was announced that the miniseries would be filmed in São Paulo instead of Goiânia, the actual location where the Cesium 137 tragedy happened.

SEE QUEEN OF PERSIA LAVISH EPIC TV SERIES ON THE WIFE OF LEGENDARY PERSIAN KING XERXES

This one already aired over in Brazil last year, but I wanted to draw your attention to is because it is also airing on different channels around the world, so maybe you will manage to catch it somewhere and watch as it looks truly epic. 38 episodes long historical romance QUEEN OF PERSIA (A rainha da Pérsia) was obviously inspired by Magnificent Century epic saga from Turkey and 300 telling the lavish story of legendary Persian king Xerxes played by Carlo Porto and his wife queen Esther played by Nathalia Florentino. It is based on Biblical The Book of Esther and it was shot over in Morocco with the team of over 100 people including more than 60 actors. The production had the help from the local team who worked on Ridley Scott's Gladiator 2. The

 rest of the series was shot in lavish studios back in Brazil. It aired on  Record channel and Univer Video streaming platform as well.  
 
WHAT IS THE STORY OF THIS EPIC TV SERIES ABOUT? 
The series tells the saga of Esther, from her childhood to adulthood, when she becomes queen named by Xerxes I, the king of Persia. Upon arriving at the new position, Esther hides her Jewish identity and follows the advices of her cousin Mordecai. After listening to the conversation between two officers on the plan to kill Xerxes, Mordecai shares it with Esther, who immediately warns the king and he condemns the rebels to the gallows. However, Xerxes appoints Haman as prime minister and after seeing Mordecai's refusal to bow to him, Haman orders all Jews to be exiled from Persia. Knowing of Haman's desire, Mordecai reveals the plan to Esther, who decides to fight with all her might to protect her people.

Daily Mail have got their hands on the first set images from Peacock's new historical saga THOSE ABOUT TO DIE showing Anthony Hopkins as emperor Vespasian of Rome and a glimpse of Tom Hughes as his son Titus and Jojo Macari as his younger son. The $135 million worth series is set in the complex and corrupt world of ancient Rome’s spectacle-driven gladiatorial competition and following an ensemble of characters from all corners of the Roman Empire. Roland Emmerich is producing the series which will also star Rupert Penry Jones, Iwah Rheon, Lorenzo Richelmy and others.

 LAND OF SHADOWS SERIES

Well, this could be very hot if cast right: Pedro Vasconcelos will helm new historical TV series LAND OF SHADOWS, based on  No País das Sombras novel from Emmy winner Aguinaldo Silva, about the forbidden love of two gay soldiers during the 17th Century, when Brazil was a colony of the Kingdom of Portugal. This English language drama will be set in Olinda, a Brazilian village, during the Captaincy of Pernambuco in 1604 and 1605, and reveals how the soldiers’ equality puts them in opposition to Portugal’s Holy Office of the Inquisition. The plot will also cover the persecution of New Christians, abuses against women and the romance between the wife of a sugar cane plantation lord and one of his slaves. The shooting will start early next year in Portugal and Brazil.

  POPPA'S HOUSE SITCOM  
ORDERED OVER AT CBS
CBS has given an official order to new multicam sitcom POPPA'S HOUSE which will be saved probably for the mid season next year. Damon Wayans plays legendary talk radio host and happily divorced Poppa, who has his point of view challenged at work when a new female co-host is hired, and at home where he finds himself still parenting his adult son, played by Damon Wayans Jr., a brilliant dreamer who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband. Essence Atkins and Tetona Jackson are also in the lead cast.
