NETFLIX MAKING A NEW TV SERIES

The book will be turned into a series

According to Deadline, Netflix has nabbed TV adaptation rights on AMERICAN ROYALS young adult fantasy book by Katharine McGee which imagines an alternate history where George Washington was anointed king of the United States instead of being elected President and chronicles the lives of his young dependents. As customary for the YA adult genre, there is romance, with two princesses vying for the ultimate crown and two girls vying for the prince’s heart. Ted Malawer is penning the script after working on Prime Video's Red, White and Royal Blue. The book series itself has four books.
