ELIZABETH BANKS SCORES LEAD ROLE
As Deadline reports, Rob Letterman is set to turn popular kids' book MAGIC SCHOOL BUS, which has been sold so far in over 60 million copies, into a feature movie with Elizabeth Banks producing and taking the lead role as quirky science teacher Ms. Valerie Frizzle. We will follow her 
and her young class of students as they board a sentient, shape-shifting school bus that transports them on educational adventures through outer space, the interior of the human body, and myriad other extraordinary settings. It will be a live-action/animated hybrid!

Dezmond, I have to admit I had never heard of these books, so I was quite surprised to learn they have sold more than 60 million copies. Seeing the premise, I can completely understand why they decided to bring them to the big screen.
