According to Variety,
Lenny Abrahamson is set to direct a small screen adaptation of
David Nicholls' best selling novel
YOU ARE HERE for British broadcaster
BBC. To start shooting this summer, it revolves around Michael and Marnie, middle aged and lonely divorcees who find themselves brought together on a long distance walking trail across northern England by both a persistent mutual friend and some very unpredictable weather. Over the course of 10 days and 200 miles, they discover exactly what they’ve been looking for. His novels Us and One Day have already been adapted previously into TV series. Speaking of TV series,
House of Guinness has been renewed for a second season over at
Netflix earlier today and will be shooting early next year.
I can't imagine walking 200 miles. Those that go on those long wilderness treks are crazy. I need a shower and toilet and fresh clothes daily. I would not survive roughing it walking for days on end.
ReplyDeleteJason and I were just getting ready to dive into House of Guinness this weekend. Glad to hear it was good enough to pick up a second season.
I used to walk about 12km to my high school, there and back. Now I cover about 7 or 8 when I go on foot downtown for my weekly shopping.
