TRAILER FOR NEW ITV'S BRITISH COURT SCANDAL MINI TV SERIES
ITV and Britbox have released first trailer from their four part TV series THE LADY
which describes the rise and fall of former royal dresser Jane Andrews,
whose rags to riches fairy tale fell apart when she was convicted of
murder. Once a young working-class girl, Jane answered an advertisement
in a magazine and to the astonishment of her friends and family, became
the
Duchess of York’s dresser at Buckingham Palace.
Moving amongst the highest social circles in Britain, Jane managed to
secure a place in the upper-classes,
only to lose her job with the
Duchess after nine years of service.
Still reeling from her fall from grace, Jane went on to meet charismatic
businessman Thomas Cressman and fell deeply in love. Soon cracks began
to develop in the
romance Jane had pinned all her hopes on, with
disastrous consequences.Mia McKenna-Bruce will play the former royal aide and dresser who was
convicted of murder, with Natalie Dormer as Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York although, admittedly, she looks nothing like the real Sarah. Ed
Speleers is Thomas Cressman, Andrews’ former partner who she was convicted of murdering in 2001. The cast will also have Philip Glenister, 
Claire Skinner, Laura Aikman, Ophelia Lovibond, Mark Stanley, Daniel Ryan and Sean Teale. The series is out February 22nd.

DeleteI am sure the royal family hates this kind of scandal coming back around muddying the institution, especially with all of those Epstein files coming to light. Shit’s really starting to hit the fan, no wonder Fergie is laying low.

DeleteWell he was her fave because she he was problematic and she knew it was her fault given that when they were little she saw them just twice a week or something like that. I read that Charles always had to protect little Edward who was shy and timid like him, from Andrew who was a bully in the house as well. Old Lizzy probably had guilty conscience. This is why she waited till her death bed to give up the crown because she wanted to protect him and prolong his privileged status. And look what she created...
