I must admit I'm really in love with the trailer!

This is the second full length film directed by Sarah Polley.
I have to admit, I do like the step up franchise. I watch them whenever they're on t.v. Will I go see this one in the theater? Probably not. It's not Magic Mike.
ReplyDeletebut you will watch it in late night hours on TV when it hits the small screens :) Gotta love sexy dancers and gorgeous young bodies :) Wonder how magic MAGIC MIKE will do this weekend :)
DeleteI know here, in my area, it's sold OUT!! =)))
Deletewell, off course it is when you bought all the tickets, darling :PPP
Deletebut then again, you really do need your privacy while watching such a movie, so buying the whole theatre for oneself is a good choice... :)
Delete*giggling* Dezz!! I told you not to tell!! =) LOL
Delete:)
DeleteDon't laugh - I own two of the Step Up movies LOL I just love break dancing, I'm such an 80's child!!
ReplyDeleteFalling Overnight...awww, it's seems so very sad!
Wow, Jake Busey looks exactly like his dad!!
I love me STEP UP movies too. After romcoms there's no other genre that can top my mood better :)
DeleteSame here! I love romcoms!!!
DeleteI found West Side Story on television a few months ago. The kids just laughed at me. What do they know?!
LOL,I think that was my mom's fave film too :)
Delete*sigh* and now I officially feel old LOL
DeleteI think you and Annzie are about ten years older than me, nothing too much if you ask me... I think people are nowadays young till they turn 50 and then from 50 to 70 they are mature, and only after 70 they are old :)
DeleteThere should be more love stories. Good movie spotlight today Dezzy. :)
ReplyDeletethere should, you've no idea how difficult it was to spot the love movies this summer :( So very few of them....
DeleteStep up 4? I can't believe they are still making those. The first one was pretty cool but they are a little too over the top for me. Take this waltz sounds a little boring but the other 2 look like they should be unique and entertaining :)
ReplyDeletewhy not, Matt? STEP UP is deeply inspiring and promotes love, creativity and faith in yourself and what you love. What's wrong with that?
DeleteNothing wrong with that, just not my style :)
DeleteStep Up 4...The dancing looks good, but not into it, Dez and never will be. I'm a heathen, I know. ;) Why do you put up with me? LOL
ReplyDeleteFalling Overnight looks really good as does Take this Waltz. I love Michelle.
you don't even like the idea of carrying over political messages through dance like they did in the film? :)
DeleteNo, because in these films these kids are always dancing to save some school/program/dancehall/park/neighborhood. I've kind of had my fill of that and I don't need to see anymore. Maybe down the road I'll be into those films again. I was once (Footloose, Breakin', Flashdance) Perhaps I should not have said never because you never really do know if your tastes will change. :)
Deleteespecially when there are hot sweaty naked bodies dancing all around scantily clad :)
DeleteLooks like a bit of a change for Rogan
ReplyDeleteyep, a bit more serious than usual
DeleteYou know how much I love dancing darling. Such a deeply expressive art that shows the beauty of the human body in motion so Step Up is a must see for me.
ReplyDeleteFalling Overnight looks like a movie that can transcend cultures and history. There are some things that touch our humanity no matter where we are from and this movie is one of them.
As for Take This Waltz, I'd like to reach through the screen and slap this ignorant woman. Movies like this do damage to us as a society by promoting loose morals. It is quite normal to find people of the opposite sex attractive and interesting after you are married, but it means absolutely nothing. Attaching emotional valence to a basic and simplistic animal response shows us just how far we haven't come as a species.
Yes, darling, and I love that this installment has such a profound and deep political message! Love such inspiration.
DeleteIt's true about FALLING OVERNIGHT. Miracles happen in such situations when you see life in a different way.
All adulterers need to be bitch slapped, darling!
Pfft all this lovey dovey stuff, I don't mind such movies and actually like a few a lot. But many of the ones today just feel forced, they don't have that spark that the older ones had. And Step Up movies pffft they need to die already.
ReplyDeleteI bet you haven't even watched the STEP UP trailer, cat!
DeleteI'll go to "Take This Waltz" simply because Sarah Polley is one of Canada's best young directors!
ReplyDeleteshe is usually critically praised for her films
DeleteCrazy Eyes sounds pretty cliche. I'm thinking it's the typical story line that's in many movies...but, I love those movies so I would definitely go see it!! lol
ReplyDeleteyep, it's my least fave from the above list too!
DeleteUgh... did we really need another Step It Up?
ReplyDeletewe did... hope we get fifth part too :)
DeleteWhen did love become so complicated? I watched the step up trailer and didn't think I'd like it but it was good. Probably just the dancing parts though. I do like the Tumor movie though.
ReplyDeleteSTEP UP films usually surprise cynics, since people think those films are shallow, but they are quite the opposite, those are some of the very few positive, inspiring films.
DeleteI've got to admit I've never been interested in the Step Up films, I'm not saying they're bad, they just don't appeal to me. Seems like a lot of people love those though, or there won't be so many of those made.
ReplyDeleteyep, I'm one of those people, there's nothing I love more than inspiring films with lovely messages and with young people doing something creative instead of being criminals or morbid vigilantes :)
