WENTWORTH MILLER IS THE NEW "SPARTACUS"?!? BETTY WHITE, NICOLE SCHERZINGER, GEMMA ARTERTON & ALEC BALDWIN JOIN "MEN IN BLACK 3". NEW PICS FROM "GAME OF THRONES" HBO'S EPIC SERIES. DRACULA'S LAST JOURNEY IN "THE LAST VOYAGE OF DEMETER"

I'm not ashamed to admit I've almost fainted when I heard the gossip last night over at "Beyond Hollywood": Wentworth Miller, the star of PRISON BREAK and RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE, has expressed interest in taking over the lead role from Andy Whitfield in the second season of SPARTACUS BLOOD AND SAND since Andy has problems with cancer again and will leave the show for good. I personally couldn't be happier if Starz really gives the role to charismatic and amazing Wentworth. We shall know soon what will really happen and who will be Spartacus in the end, but Miller could take the whole show to such amazing new levels.

Now, I must admit I've never liked MEN IN BLACK movies but it seems that MEN IN BLACK III has gathered itself quite a stunning cast beside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. Last week I told you that Emma Thompson will play the head of MIB in modern day, and now there are many other new names in the cast: lovely Gemma Arterton (PRINCE OF PERSIA, CLASH OF THE TITANS) will play a secretary in the film which will also go back to the 60's and Alec Baldwin will play the MIB boss from the past. Super gorgeous singer Nicole Scherzinger (who currently has a hit duo with Enrique Iglesias) will play a character called the Devil Girl :) and even our beloved Betty White will make a cameo as someone's mother.

The casting for THE LAST VOYAGE OF DEMETER has started. Ben Kingsley is one of the actors who will appear in this spooky saga about the journey of Dracula's coffin from Transylvania to England. According to many legends when the boat called Demeter arrived at the port, no survivors were found on board. The lead actor hasn't been cast yet, and I'm not sure whether Ben will be the Dracula himself, but he fits the role physically :)

And here are two new images from the most anticipated TV series GAME OF THRONES which is to premiere next year at HBO. Based on the famous fantasy saga by George R.R. Martin the series will follow seven noble families who fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros surrounded by political and sexual intrigues. As you can see from the pictures with Sean Bean and Jerome Flynn, the series will have the spectacular magical settings, costumes and music like the ones seen in LORD OF THE RINGS.

Period thriller THE RAVEN, directed by James McTeigue, which HOLLYWOOD SPY has written before, has got new, very pretty cast members: young Luke Evans and Alice Eve. Evans will play a detective who partners with Edgar Allan Poe (played by John Cusack) to search for a serial killer who has kidnapped the author's fiancee (Alice Eve) and has gone on a murder spree that mimics the author's work. The film will be partly shot in Serbia as well :)

One of my favourite directors, visual genius Tarsem Singh, who is currently working on his Greek epic IMMORTALS with Henry Cavill, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke, has just been offered a new gig - to direct THE BROTHERS GRIMM: SNOW WHITE. This would be a tale more connected with the 500 year old folk tale than with the Walt Disney's story. As you know, Universal is also making their version of the tale SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN and the two rival projects are apparently trying to get Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson and similar actresses for their leads.

According to "Hollywood Reporter" THE ART OF LOVE, a fantasy teenage romance, has got itself a quite respectable cast. Based on a book by Claude Dal Farra THE ART OF LOVE will see Olympia Dukakis and Virginia Madsen playing the last survivors of an ancient line of goddess worshipers, who sell art at a shop run by Madsen's husband (Aidan Quinn). When their teenage daughter falls in love with a poetically inclined boy (Sam Underwood), she begins to develop magical powers of her own.

We've already seen the pictures depicting Jason Momoa as the brave barbarian hero, but now, beside some pics of warriors, you can also see a glimpse of gorgeous Rachel Nichols who plays a queen's servant who is also, quite conveniently, skilled in martial arts, and will off course be Conan's love interest :) Directed by Marcus Nispel the film also stars Ron Perlman and Rose McGowan this time as the naughty villain.

I don't know about you, but I've always loved Fran Drescher a lot. I grew up with THE NANNY and I also loved LIVING WITH FRAN. Well, now Fran might get her own talk show. She has been handed a three-week pilot run this November and if her talk

show scores success Fran will get a national debut later next year. Here's what lovely Fran said about it: "I'm thrilled to be able to bring THE FRAN DRESCHER  TAWK SHOW to daytime TV, which fits me hand in glove. It will cover all of my passions, everything from pedicures to politics. America will have a chance to see the real Fran Drescher, beyond The Nanny. I'm the girl next door, a self-made woman who has been to hell and back a few times".

It seems we shall soon get a new expensive period adventure. According to "Hollywood Reporter" popular novel THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, will be adapted into a $120 million movie to be shot next year in Eastern Europe (hope it's my headquarters :)) with charming British actor Neil Jackson in the lead role. The story itself is set during the Reign of Terror following the start of the French Revolution and was an inspiration to all other later masked superheros like Zorro for example.

Now, you all know how I have a very low opinion on Nolan's BATMAN, but it's always interesting hearing rumors about who could become a new superhero or a villain. And there were many rumors about who could play villains in the third installment of the DARK KNIGHT saga. Well, Edward Norton has just denied that he's vying to play The Riddler according to "Aceshowbiz".

Although there were many speculations that he could play the crazy freak obsessed with riddles, he says the studio hasn't even approached him with an offer. As you remember Joseph Gordon Levitt and Tom Hardy are also among the actors rumored to be possible stars who will portray the Riddler. There are also some rumors about Killer Croc being one of the villains in the new BATMAN.

Now, I'm sure that you will agree with me that Jude Law is a positively charismatic actor. No matter which films he appears in and no matter who he stars with he always steals the show with his magnetic aura. He had so many stunning roles that it's difficult to name them all: I think most of us noticed him for the first time in the amazing sf flick GATTACA, after that he brought us a brilliant performance in THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY, then came the terrific war epic ENEMY AT THE GATES with one of his most outstanding roles ever. The very same year he truly shined in Spielberg's ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE playing the most convincing android. And then he mesmerized us in the stunning epic COLD MOUNTAIN. Then came the famous 2004, the year of his life, in which he had record breaking six films and all stunning performances - I HEART HUCKABEES, the mind-blowing SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW, ALFIE,

touching CLOSER, then Jude as Errol Flynn in AVIATOR, and LEMONY SNICKET. After that he was stunning and romantic in THE HOLIDAY with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. We'll be seeing him in the sequel to SHERLOCK HOLMES, in epic thriller CONTAGION again with Winslet, and in Martin Scorsese's HUGO CABRET.
Believe it or not, he never won an Oscar, but he was nominated for RIPLEY and COLD MOUNTAIN. He also never won a Golden Globe. That's the shame of today's award world. He owns a production company with his two best friends who were also competing in our poll Ewan McGregor (the two of them were even roommates once) and Johnny Lee Miller. He is also a close friend with Rachel Weisz while top model Kate Moss is even a godmother to one of his four kids.

I've already mentioned it earlier this year, but the super charming animated blockbuster HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON will now officially get a sequel scheduled for 2013. The film has earned almost $500 million in cinemas with the tale of a young Viking named Hiccup who defies tradition and befriends a dragon. Not only that it mesmerized the audience but the film also had stunning critical reviews. As you remember Jay Baruchel and Gerard Butler were among the voice cast.

Charming British freak Rhys Ifans (NOTTING HILL) will play the unknown villain in the upcoming reboot of SPIDER-MAN. He will thus join Andrew Garfield as Spidey and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy in the film scheduled for 2012. And another superhero news is actually a gossip about Bradley Cooper being the current front runner to play THE FLASH, the red hero who is quicker than flash. The gossip comes from "Moviehole" but the script for the movie is yet to be finished and the whole project still hasn't been greenlit.

Check out the new pics from medieval comedy YOUR HIGHNESS a fantasy movie about an arrogant lazy prince Thadeous (Danny McBride) and his more heroic brother Fabious (James Franco). When Fabious' bride-to-be Belladonna (Zoey Deschanel) gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux),

the king gives his deadbeat son an ultimatum: Man up and help rescue her or get cut off. Embarking on an adventure with his brother and female warrior Isabel (Natalie Portman), Thadeous will help his brother prevent the destruction of his land. The movie is out April 2011.

EPIC TRAILER FOR PETER WEIR'S "THE WAY BACK" WITH COLIN FARRELL & ED HARRIS AND THE DYNAMIC TRAILER FOR "AND SOON THE DARKNESS" WITH KARL URBAN

I wanted to indulge you this boring Monday with some hot pics and hot news, but since there weren't any interesting ones, I must entertain you with two new trailers released in last few days.

The first one is for Peter Weir's (GALLIPOLI, THE YEAR OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY, THE TRUMAN SHOW) new film THE WAY BACK. This epic movie with epic music, epic cinematography and epic story, starring Colin Farrell, Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris, Mark Strong and Saoirse Ronan, is inspired by a true story about a group of prisoners who escaped a Gulag in Siberia in 1940 and traveled over 4000 miles across some of the most dangerous terrain in the world, facing blizzards, cold, wolves, desert heat in order to save their lives and get home. The film is out in USA on December 29.

The trailer for suspense thriller AND SOON THE DARKNESS has also been released, and I'm posting it just because Karl Urban is my favourite actor, the film itself seems cliche. Stephanie (Amber Heard) and Ellie’s (Odette Yustman) go to an exotic village in Argentina to bask

in the sun, shop and flirt with the handsome locals. After a long night of bar-hopping, the girls get into an argument, and Stephanie heads out alone in the morning to cool off. But when she returns, Ellie has disappeared. Finding signs of a struggle, Stephanie fears the worst, and turns to the police for help. But the local authorities have their hands full already – with a string of unsolved kidnappings targeting young female tourists. Skeptical of the sheriff's competency, she enlists help from Michael (Karl Urban), an American ex-pat staying at their hotel. Together they go on a frantic search for Ellie, but Stephanie soon realizes that trusting his seemingly good intentions may drag her farther from the truth. With danger mounting, and time running out, Stephanie must find her friend before darkness falls.

LUC BESSON'S OUTER SPACE FILM "LOCK OUT" WITH GUY PEARCE AND MAGGIE GRACE STARTS FILMING TOMORROW IN SERBIA

The shooting of Luc Besson's (THE FIFTH ELEMENT, LE GRAND BLEU, NIKITA, TRANSPORTER, TAXI) new movie should start tomorrow in Belgrade, in Serbia's PFI film studios. The sf action LOCK OUT will be set in outer space and Guy Pearce will play a man wrongly

convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. He is offered his freedom if he can rescue the president's daughter (Maggie Grace) who is held hostage in an outer space prison that orbits 50 miles above the earth and is home to 500 of the most dangerous violent criminals on the planet who have taken it over.
The crew has been building huge sets in Belgrade last few months creating the futuristic space prison. Luc Besson will produce LOCK OUT, which will have two directors - Stephen St. Leger and James Mather, through his "Europa Corp" studio, while their partner in Serbia will be "Work In Progress" company which has worked on Ralph Fiennes' movie CORIOLANUS
and THE BROTHERS BLOOM with Rachel Weisz and Adrien Brody which were also shot in Serbia. The budget of the film will be around $30 million.

Guy Pearce, whom we remember from MEMENTO, L.A. CONFIDENTIAL, THE HURT LOCKER ... will star this year in THE KING'S SPEECH as Edward VIII, he will also join Kate Winslet in MILDRED PIERCE,  and will also star in THE HUNGRY RABBIT JUMPS alongside Nicolas Cage and January Jones.
We've seen young Maggie Grace in KNIGHT AND DAY, TAKEN, THE FOG and she will also appear in THE TWILIGHT saga's sequel BREAKING DAWN.

I've mentioned a lot of cool new films with great casts recently and here's another one: BEGINNERS, to be released next summer, will

star an amazing duo Christopher Plummer and Ewan McGregor in the story of a man whose father comes out of the closet and announces he has a young lover. Croatian star Goran Visnjic will play Plummer's lover :)

Another great cast will be seen in WANDERLUST, a movie I've mentioned before which will tell the hilarious story of a city couple that ditches their life to try a more hippie existence in a commune. The star studded cast includes some seriously hot people: Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux, Malin Akerman and Ray Liotta.
And yet another film with breathtaking cast is MY WEEK WITH MARILYN in which ultra talented Michelle Williams plays Marilyn Monroe in the time when she escaped the shackles of her Hollywood career and embraced

British life with Colin Clark who wrote about it later on. The rest of the almost unbelievable cast includes Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh as sir Laurence Olivier, Judi Dench, Dougray Scott as Marilyn's husband Arthur Miller, Dominic Cooper, Emma Watson, Derek Jacobi, and Julia Ormond as Vivien Leigh.

Since he won't direct the new SUPERMAN, it seems Darren Aronofsky will direct THE TIGER, a movie based on John Vaillant's book about his experiences searching for a man-eating tiger in eastern Russia. The interesting thing is that Brad Pitt will take the lead role, while Angelina Jolie will also appear in the film.

RIDLEY SCOTT ADAPTATING "THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE" INTO MINI SERIES. JUDI DENCH AND MAGGIE SMITH WILL VISIT "THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL". ED BURNS JOINS SAM WORTHINGTON & JAMIE BELL IN "MAN ON A LEDGE". MIKE MYERS GIVES VOICE TO PEPE LE PEW IN A LIVE ACTION FILM

Now this is a totally perfect team: John Madden (SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, CAPTAIN CORELLI'S MANDOLIN) will direct THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL with an uber cool cast including some very fine actors - Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Nighy and Dev Patel. And the story is charming too: it follows a group of British retirees who are lured by enticing advertisements to live out their days in India at the recently restored Marigold Hotel, a former palace. Though their environs turn out to be far less luxurious than billed, their lives are transformed by shared experiences.

According to "Deadline" Ridley Scott will produce a new mini-series based on Philip K. Dick's novel THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE for BBC. This intriguing story is actually set

in an alternate world where Nazi Germany and Japan's Axis powers actually defeated the American Allied forces in World War II.

Now, I've already wrote about MAN ON A LEDGE, but now the cast became even better: Sam Worthington plays a fugitive ex-cop perched on the ledge of a high-rise building while a NYPD hostage negotiator (Elizabeth Banks) tries to talk him down. The longer they are on the ledge, the more she realizes he might have an ulterior objective. Jamie Bell will play a man who tries to prove Sam Worthington's innocence. Edward Burns will be a rival negotiator who tries to swoop in when he believes Elizabeth Banks has a conflict of interest. Great cast!

One of the cutest animated characters PEPE LE PEW will get his own live-action/CGI hybrid movie according to "MovieWeb". The super charming news is that hilarious Mike Myers will give his voice to this adorable skunk. As you know, the skunk is perpetually looking for love in pursuit of a cat called Penelope Pussycat, a black kitty with a white stripe accidentally painted down her back.

Ah, bad news people, it seems that amazing director Shekhar Kapur (ELIZABETH, ELIZABETH THE GOLDEN AGE, FOUR FEATHERS) won't be helming the adaptation of LARKLIGHT by Philip Reeve. Tomas Alfredson (LET THE RIGHT ONE IN) will be the new director of this fantasy epic set in a Victorian era alternate universe in which mankind has been exploring the solar system since the time of Isaac Newton. The story revolves around a brother and sister who team with a band of renegade space pirates to save the world from destruction at the hands of a madman. Warner Bros. has scheduled the movie for 2013.

Fun Egyptian epic THE SCORPION KING will get a new sequel SCORPION KING: RISE OF THE DEAD, but it will be a straight-to DVD flick. Starring CASTLE's hunky Victor Webster in the lead role, the film will see our hero Mathayus taking on impenetrable bad dudes in the wilds of the Northern Tribes in 3000 BC.

And check out the first pictures from the amazing new historical show CAMELOT (to be aired on STARZ in US and on CHANNEL4 in UK) which is coming out next year and will bring an exciting, dynamic and sexy new take on the famous Arthurian legends starring James Purefoy as evil King Lot, Clive Standen
