STUNNING CAST PICTURES AND TRAILER FOR BBC'S PERIOD SET TV DRAMA 'THE SCANDALOUS LADY W' WITH NATALIE DORMER, ANEURIN BARNARD AND SHAUN EVANS!

 'THE SCANDALOUS LADY W'
BBC DRAMA WITH NATALIE DORMER AND ANEURIN BARNARD
Now, here's something wonderfully naughty and wonderfully historical to start your week in a regal mood. BBC 2 has released first cast pictures and a trailer for their upcoming TV movie THE SCANDA- LOUS LADY W starring Natalie Dormer (The Tudors, Hunger Games, Game of Thrones) who leads a cast of British actors in this gripping 18th century drama, detailing the scandalous life of Seymour, Lady Worsley, who dared to leave her husband and elope with his best friend, Captain George Bisset, played by Aneurin Barnard (The White Queen). The movie will air August 17th!

INSPIRED BY OIL PAINTING
In the TV movie based on the book LADY WORSLEY'S WHIM by Hallie Rubenhold (who was inspired by the full length oil painting of Lady Worsley that hangs in Harewood House in Yorkshire in which she is depicted wearing a bright red riding habit.),  Natalie Dormer plays the passionate, courageous Seymour, Lady Worsley, who escapes her troubled marriage only to find herself at the centre of a very public trial brought by her powerful husband Sir Richard Worsley, played by Shaun Evans, who seeks compensation from her lover for the affair. As this extraordinary true story unfolds, Lady Worsley takes the brave decision to publicly expose the secrets of her marriage. The scandalous courtroom revelations challenge the hypocrisy of the law that brands a wife the property of her husband, calling into question the whole concept of a woman’s 'worth'.

The only video I have for you today is the first short clip from the new period set BBC One seven episode fantasy series JONATHAN STRANGE & MR. NORREL based on the book by Susanna Clarke which is to air sometime later this year! Set in England  at the beginning of the 19th century, the new television series presents an alternate history where magic is widely acknowledged, but rarely practised. Living in the rural north, Mr Norrell (Eddie Marsan) of Hurtfew Abbey is able to make the statues of York Cathedral talk and move. His manservant John Childermass (Enzo Cilenti) persuades him to travel to London to help in the war against France. While there, Mr Norrell encounters a leading member of the government and makes magic respectable in the realm when he conjures a fairy to bring the minister's fiancée (Alice Englert) back to life. Meanwhile, also in London, Jonathan Strange (Bertie Carvel) meets Vinculus (Paul Kaye), a magician, while attempting to propose to his love Arabella (Charlotte Riley). Strange is told by Vinculus that he is destined to be a great magician and begins to study magic.
