A trailer has been released for a big screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover's book VERITY which is out this October starring Anne Hathaway, Josh Harnett and Dakota Johnson. The psychological thriller follows Lowen Ashleigh (Johnson), a struggling writer who is hired to complete a successful book series after its author, Verity Crawford (Hathaway), is incapacitated. Once inside the Crawford home, Lowen becomes entangled with Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett) and uncovers an unfinished manuscript that may reveal disturbing truths about the author.
We do not yet have the title, but as Deadline reports, Josh Hartnett is set to lead limited series set at Newfoundland over at Netflix. In the six episode series, created by Jesse McKeown, we shall see a mysterious sea creature terrorizing a remote Newfoundland town, and Hartnett will play a hard-bitten fisherman who must fight to protect his family, his community, and his vanishing way of life. The series will be filmed over in Canada.
The first trailer (I shall replace the teaser below with the full trailer as soon as it appears tonight) has been released for the reboot of TOMB RAIDER which is out next March! This time Alicia Vikander plays famous Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, who must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared. Daddy dearest is played by Dominic West with Daniel Wu also in the cast of the film directed by Roar Uthaug.

Deadline reports today that Lionsgate is preparing to adapt Pat Rothfuss fantasy trilogy THE KINGKILLER CHRONICLE into a movie franchise and also a TV series. Lin Manuel Miranda is set to do the music. The main character of the saga is Kvothe, an adventurer and famous musician, and the books follow his travels through the world called the Four Corners of Civilization where different regions are either rich or barren, some even populated by fairies! It is planned for the first movie to be based on the first book THE NAME OF THE WIND, while at the same time developing a TV series that expands on the world outside the books!

CASTS NEW CREW MEMBERS In TV news, by now you've probably heard that it has been confirmed
that Michelle Yeoh will, indeed, star in new STAR TREK: DISCOVERYCBS
series, and she will be Captain Georgiou, the Starfleet Captain of the
Starship Shenzhou. But two more cast members have been added to the
series which will be set in the early days of Federation's exploration
of wider space. Anthony Rapp will appear in the regular cast as Lt.
Stamets, a gay astro mycologist, fungus expert, and Starfleet Science
Officer aboard the Starship Discovery. Doug Jones will be Lt. Saru, a
Starfleet Science Officer and a new alien species to the Star Trek
universe. To air in May, the series will have a female commander as the
lead character.

CW'S POST APOCA- LYPTIC SERIES 'CORDON' FINDS ITS CAST Another of CW's series pilots CORDON, will have David Gyasi,
Christina Moses, Chris Wood and Kristen Gutoskie in the lead roles of
the series that chronicles the aftermath of a deadly epidemic outbreak
in Atlanta. Gyasi and Moses will play the central characters with Gyasi
