The first trailer (I shall replace the teaser below with the full trailer as soon as it appears tonight) has been released for the reboot of  TOMB RAIDER which is out next March! This time Alicia Vikander plays famous Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, who must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared. Daddy dearest is played by Dominic West with Daniel Wu also in the cast of the film directed by Roar Uthaug.

There's also a new trailer for snowy survival adventure with Josh Hartnett SIX BELOW which is out in cinemas this October also starring Mira Sorvino. Hartnett plays an adrenaline seeking snowboarder who gets lost in a massive winter storm in the back country of the High Sierras where he is pushed to the limits of human endurance and forced to battle his own personal demons as he fights for survival! This exciting survival movie is actually based on a true story!

First trailer has also been released for Blake Lively's new movie ALL I SEE IS YOU which is out at the end of October! She plays Gina who, blinded as a child in a nearly fatal car accident, depends on her husband James (Jason Clarke) to be her eyes, a dependence, which appears to solidify their passionate relationship. When Gina is given the opportunity to have a corneal transplant and regains her vision, their life and relationship are upended as Gina now sees the world with a new sense of wonder and independence which James finds threatening.

Warner Bros. has revealed today the first photos of Alicia Vikander as new Lara Croft in the reboot of TOMB RAIDER out March 2018!

Seven years after the disappearance of her father (Dominic West), 21-year-old Lara has refused to take the reins of his global business empire, instead working as a bike courier in London while taking college classes. Eventually she becomes inspired to investigate her father's disappearance and travels to his last known location: a tomb on an island somewhere off the coast of Japan. Suddenly, the stakes couldn't be higher for Lara, who, against the odds and armed with only her sharp mind, blind faith and inherently stubborn spirit, must learn to push herself beyond her limits as she journeys into the unknown. If she survives this perilous adventure, it could be the making of her, earning her the name tomb raider!

It is here, people, the first utterly gorgeous and lovely trailer for the latest big screen adaptation of beloved FERDINAND which will bring us the peaceful bull to cinemas as soon as this December. Coming from the ICE AGE and RIO team, with the voices from Donald Sutherland and Adam DeVine, it will follow the little bull which prefers sitting quietly under a tree just smelling the flowers instead of butting heads with other bulls. As Ferdinand grows big and strong, his temperament remains mellow, but one day five men come to choose the "biggest, fastest, roughest bull" for the bullfights in Madrid and Ferdinand is mistakenly chosen. The movie will feature hits from Adam Lambert, Shakira, Rihanna.

He already played her father a few years ago in Testament of Youth War World I movie, and now he will do it again: Dominic West has been cast to play Alicia Vikander's dad in Lara Croft TOMB RAIDER reboot movie! The story itself will see her searching for her long last father Lord Richard Croft! As 'The Hollywood Reporter' writes, the movie will have Lara Croft beginning her first adventure in order to finish her father's research and uncover ancient secrets in order to clear his disgraced name. In the video game, her father is a rich archaeologist! Into The Badlands star Daniel Wu will play Lu Ren, a ship captain who helps Lara Croft throughout her journey to find her father. The movie is set for March next year.

Earlier last year I informed you that DMG Entertainment is planning to turn Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere fantasy world into a TV series and films, and now it has been revealed that one of the films from that universe will be MISTBORN: THE FINAL EMPIRE to be adapted by F Scott Frazier. The first in the fantasy trilogy has the story set in a medieval dystopian future on the world Scadrial, where supernatural mists cloud every night. Central to the series universe is the presence of magic. I remember back years ago when we first started writing about her and now she is probably the quickest rising female Hollywood star with an Oscar in her hand. So what is next for Alicia Vikander after so many amazing dramatic roles? Well, Warner Bros. and MGM have revealed officially today that she is their new lead star for LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER reboot! As Hollywood Reporter writes, the new movie will show the famous adventurer in a much younger stage of her life, showing her origin story! Later this year we will first watch her beside her boo Michael Fassbender in THE LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS.

Since we're femalecentric today, another lovely lady from Hollywood, Penelope Cruz has been cast in the lead role in LAYOVER, the big screen adaptation of Lisa Zeidner book! The book revolves around Claire Newbold, a successful travelling saleswoman who decides to go on the lam from her life. She develops elaborate scams for sneaking into hotel rooms, alone or with a guest, and a passion for swimming in their pools. A master of reinvention, she is fierce, funny and falling apart, and the story follows the atypical heroine as she goes off the deep end, and has to find her way back to shore.
