We're going sf today, starting with the first trailer for August movie THE SPACE BETWEEN US in which NASA sends astronauts to be the first to live on Mars not knowing that one of them is pregnant and gives birth without revealing who the father is. NASA didn’t tell anyone about it — for 16 years. Now he’s a teenager (Asa Butterfield) who has been raised by scientists and has met fewer than 15 people in his life but is hip to what Earth is and “knows it’s all going on without him.” He also has developed an online relationship with an Earthling girl (Britt Robertson) in Colorado. After being brought back to Earth, he is put through tests but he escapes in order to find the girl. Just one thing: His romantic heart “can’t handle our gravity.” Gary Oldman and Carla Gugino also star!

Meanwhile, a bunch of stunning new posters has been revealed for the anticipated sequel INDEPENDENCE DAY RESURGENCE which arrives to cinemas June 24th starring Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pulman directed by Roland Emmerich!

Twenty years after the events of the first film, the international community recovers and the United Nations creates the Earth Space Defence (ESD), a united global defence program that serves as Earth's early warning system and the main defence force using technology salvaged from remains of the alien forces, with some military forces assembled on the Moon, Mars and Rhea. However, the aliens were able to send a distress signal to their other battalions before their final defeat while others went into hiding elsewhere around the world. The aliens in deep space received the signal and sent a larger and more powerful battle fleet, threatening the human race once more, this time, with a gravitational machine.

As you know Chris Evans starring post apocalyptic movie SNOWPIERCER was our absolutely favourite movie back in 2013 and now its talented director Bong Joon Ho is finally preparing a new movie which will also have Hollywood names mixed in with Asian stars in the cast. To premiere globally on Netflix next year OKJA will see Lily Collins, WALKING DEAD's Steven Yeun, Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano, Jake Gyllenhaal, Devon Bostick, Byun Heebong and Yoon Je Moon starring in a story which follows Mija, a young girl who must risk everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend – a massive animal named Okja. Mija will be played by Seohyun An!

Speaking of sf, the second trailer has been released for this summer's biggest sf adventure sequel INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE which, starring Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, hits theatres exactly twenty years after the original one. Those are the same 20 years we had to prepare for the second arrival of Aliens! You might remember that about ten years ago Philip Pullman's fantasy saga HIS DARK MATERIALS was adapted into A GOLDEN COMPASS movie, but now BBC One is going to adapt as well and they've set Jack Thorne to pen it.

New Line Cinema will produce the mini series about orphan Lyra from a parallel universe, in which science, theology and magic are entwined. Her search for a kidnapped friend uncovers a sinister plot involving stolen children and turns into a quest to understand a mysterious phenomenon called Dust. She is later on joined by Will, a boy who possesses a knife that can cut windows between worlds. As Lyra learns the truth about her parents and her prophesied destiny, the two kids are caught up in a war against celestial powers that ranges across many worlds!

In the video department, a new TV clip has been released for the sequel INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE  which brings back the second wave of aliens who nearly destroyed Mother Earth twenty years ago! But now, the humanity has used alien technology to develop their own new weapons. Out June 24th, exactly 20 years after the first one, the movie will see the return of Bill Pulman, Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A Fox and Brent Spinner with Liam Hemsworth and Asian beauty Angelababy leading the young cast! Will Smith is not coming back and ain't nobody needs him, right?

Starting with the mega massive one for GODS OF EGYPT which lasted more than a minute (when a minute of commercials during the event costs up to $10 million)! The first mega blockbuster of the year will open later this month starting Gerard Butler as Ancient Egyptian God Set, Geoffrey Rush as Raa and Nikolaj Coster Waldau as Horus! The trailer shows a movie of mind blowing opulence!

A much longer one came for Disney's new movie mix of live action and CGI in the adventure remake of THE JUNGLE BOOK out in cinemas  this April!  Mowgli (Neel Sethi) has been raised by wolves and knows little of the civilized world – making him a target for the territorial tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba). As Mowgli sets off through jungle he crosses paths with a scheming python named Kaa (Scarlett Johansson), the loyal and honourable panther Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) and big friendly bear Baloo (Bill Murray).

Charming young Robert Laing (Hiddleston) is at first amazed by life inside the high-rise, but cracks soon reveal a rigid class structure on the verge of collapse.
