SEE PAUL MESCAL IN NEW MOVIE ADAPTATION OF FAMOUS OPERA CARMEN!

 CARMEN MOVIE TRAILER
A NEW CINEMATIC VISION
If I'm to be honest with you I must admit I expected something a bit different from this one, possibly something more of a fantasy movie, not for it to be this
The film will open this April
much contemporary, but you can judge for yourself as today I have for you poster and first trailer for the latest movie adaptation of famous opera CARMEN! A modern day re-imagining of one of the classical operas should air today at Miami Film Festival and will open in Northern American cineams from April 21st in a limited release.

LOVE IS A BIRD THAT NOBODY CAN TAME
To escape a murderous cartel, the captivating young Carmen (Melissa Barrera) is northbound, her route traversing an area patrolled by the US government and fanatical Americans who hunt people for sport. Mixed into the horde is local veteran Aidan (Paul
Benjamin Millepied directed the movie
Mescal), dragged into the ignoble mission as a means of earning money for his impoverished family. Soon, the star-crossed sweethearts intersect and, with hearts leading the way, take the wheel with Los Angeles on the horizon. Carmen's goal is to seek refuge in a nightclub run by an infamous family friend named Masilda (Rossy de Palma) and bartender Gabrielle (Elsa Pataky). But as the song goes, l'amour est un oiseau rebelle - and perhaps love may not be enough when the laws of physics and men aren't far behind.

Carmen has looked after her brother, the priest at the local church, since she was sixteen years old. Now almost fifty, she is suddenly left to start a new life after he passes away and she is no longer needed to dedicate her life to him and the church. According to Deadline, Netflix has just paid $15 million for World War 2 movie OPERATION MINCEMEAT from John Madden which has
Colin Firth will lead the Operation Mincemeat
a star studded cast lead by Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen, Kelly Macdonald, Penelope Wilton, Jason Isaacs, Johnny Flynn, Simon Russell Beale, Hattie Morahan, Mark Gatiss and Paul Ritter. Set in 1943 when the Allies were determined to break Hitler’s grip on occupied Europe, the remarkable true story follows intelligence officers Ewen Montagu (Firth) and Charles Cholmondeley (Macfadyen) who conjure an inspired and improbable disinformation strategy centered on the most unlikely of secret agents: a dead man. They would trick the Nazis into thinking that Allied forces were planning to attack southern Europe by way of Greece rather than Sicily. Their plan was

to get a corpse, equip it with misleading papers, then drop it off the coast of Spain where Nazi spies would take the bait. It was a plan that helped turn the tide of the whole war.

PAUL MESCAL TO LEAD CARMEN MUSICAL MOVIE ADAPTATION! INTERGALACTIC SKY'S SF SERIES FIRST LOOK WITH CRAIG PARKINSON, ELEANOR TOMLINSON, SAVANNAH STEYN

  PAUL MESCAL
TO LEAD CARMEN ADAPTATION
You've seen Paul in Deceived and Normal People
But as far as I've got it, it won't be a direct big screen adaptation of the famous opera by George Bizet, but a musical based on it. Benjamin Millepied, a dancer and a choreographer, is directing this as his first movie with  Paul Mescal in the male lead, Melissa Barrera in the titular role and Spanish icon Rossy de Palma in a supporting role. The film that starts filming over in Australia this January will see Mescal playing Aidan opposite Barrera's Carmen in this tragic love story. Not sure who Aiden is, but in the opera, the male lead was Don José, a naive soldier who is seduced by the wiles of the fiery gypsy Carmen. Written by Oscar winner Alexander Dinelaris, Jr. the film will have an entirely original score and nine new songs! I'm guessing they'er aiming at new Moulin Rouge.

 INTERGALACTIC SF SERIES
FIRST LOOK AT THE CREW
Sky has released the first photo from their new eight part sf series INTERGALACTIC following fearless young cop and galactic pilot, Ash Harper (Savannah Steyn), who has her glittering career ripped away from her after being wrongly convicted of a treasonous crime and exiled to a distant prison colony. But on the way there, Ash’s fellow convicts stage a mutiny and

seize control of their prison transfer ship. With the flight crew dead, mob leader Tula Quik (Sharon Duncan-Brewster), is intent on reaching the free world – Arcadia – with her gang; and Ash is the only pilot who can get them there. Ash is forced to join them on the run towards a distant galaxy and an uncertain future. From the fringes of outer space to the depths of human emotion, Intergalactic is a drama set in space, but with its feet firmly on the ground. Craig Parkinson and Eleanor Tomlinson also star.
