Sir Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren are dating! Well, at least in the stylish and super elegant trailer for THE GOOD LIAR in which they are
playing two liars trying to outwit each other! Directed by Bill Condon (who worked with Ian before on Mr Holmes and Gods and Monsters), the film has a rather amazing cast also including our beloved boy Russell Tovey as Helen's grandson and Jim Carter as the friend of Ian's career con artist Roy Courtnay who can hardly believe his luck when he meets well-to-do widow Betty McLeish online. As Betty opens her home and life to him, Roy is surprised to find himself caring about her, turning what should be a cut-and-dry swindle into the most treacherous tightrope walk of his life. The film is out this November!
