FIRST LOOK AT RHYS IFANS AND LAURA LINNEY IN BBC ONE FEATURE LENGTH MOVING DRAMA ONWARD AND SIDEWAYS

    ONWARD AND SIDEWAYS
FIRST LOOK AT NEW BBC TV MOVIE
BBC One has released first image from their new feature length drama ONWARD AND SIDEWAYS which stars Laura Linney and Rhys Ifans in a touching story about two people with lots in common - a great sense of humour, a love of dance, and Parkinson’s. Joining Laura and Rhys are Monica Dolan, Rory Kinnear and Paul Mayhew-Archer. Rhys plays Tony Evans, the deputy head of a local primary school. Laura stars as Emma Dretzin, a pianist, composer and single mother of two daughters. Neither knows the other until a startling encounter changes the course of their lives: on the same morning, they are both confronted with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s.

    1. It is the opposite for me, I like Rhys, but not Linney LOL but I think it will be a beautiful film.

  2. I like films that talk about life without trying to dress everything up too much. The kind that stay in your head for a while after they end. And this one feels like it could be that kind of story. Besides, when a film manages to pull you out of your own worries for a moment and make you look at someone else’s life differently, for me it’s already worth watching. A big hug.

    1. I hope you watched HOPE GAP with Bill Nighy, it also shows life without covering up anything, very psychological and engaging. That is why I love GODS OWN COUNTRY so much as well, the raw psychology of it, showing human emotions in their raw state, when they are ugly and beautiful both.
      Returning the hug.

  3. Un film che si muove come un passo incerto che però trova il suo ritmo.

  4. I'm with you. Idk why I don't like her, but Linney has always bothered me. Her voice or maybe I feel like she over-acts too much.

    1. She is too American for my taste, no offense LOL

    2. No offense taken. We're a hard pill to swallow. Even I tired of our BS quickly these days.

    3. Yes, like Nolan's new Odyssey in which half of the actors are too American to play Ancient Greeks LOL Damon is literally the last person on Earth I would cast in that role.
