We're having a trailer day today at HOLLYWOOD SPY since I have a bunch of new clips to show you. The first one is for a futuristic comedy drama ROBOT AND FRANK which will hit cinemas later this August. Set in the near
future, the film followsFrank, a retired cat burglar, has two grown kids who are concerned he can no longer live alone. They are tempted to place him in a nursing home until Frank's son chooses a different option: against the old man's wishes, he buys Frank a walking, talking humanoid robot programmed to improve his physical and mental health. What follows is an often hilarious and somewhat heartbreaking story about finding friends and family in the most unexpected places. The cast is lead by Frank Langella, James Marsden, Susan Sarandon and Liv Tyler.
ROME, the film follows Charlie Bronson, a getaway driver who joins the Witness Protection Program and sets off for Los Angeles with his girlfriend (Kristen Bell). The road trip doesn't go as smoothly as planned, as they're chased by a federal officer (Tom Arnold) and the leader of Charlie's old criminal gang (Bradley Cooper). The trailer is age restricted since it features some really shocking, and I'd say unnecessary, scenes, you will see it yourself :) This one hits cinemas this August. Michael Rosenbaum and Bo Bridges are also in the cast.
WRECK-IT RALPH
The second trailer is for Disney's animated movie WRECK-IT RALPH. Hitting cinemas this November it follows Wreck-It Ralph who longs to be as beloved as his game's perfect Good Guy, Fix-It Felix.
Problem is, nobody loves a Bad Guy. But they do love heroes... so when a modern, first-person shooter game arrives featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun, Ralph sees it as his ticket to heroism and happiness.
He sneaks into the game with a simple plan—win a medal—but soon wrecks everything, and accidently unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens every game in the arcade. Ralph's only hope? Vanellope von Schweetz, a young troublemaking "glitch" from a candy-coated cart
racing game who might just be the one to teach Ralph what it means to be a Good Guy. But will he realize he is good enough to become a hero before it's "Game Over" for the entire arcade?
HERE COMES THE BOOM
The third trailer today is for comedy film HERE COMES THE BOOM which will premier this October. The warm comedy stars TV actor , Kevin James who portrays a high school biology teacher who
moonlights as a mixed-martial arts fighter in an effort to raise money to save the school’s music program. James is joined by Salma Hayek in the cast.
HIT AND RUN
And the last trailer for today is the one for action comedy HIT AND RUN. Uniting Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard again after WHEN IN ROME, the film follows Charlie Bronson, a getaway driver who joins the Witness Protection Program and sets off for Los Angeles with his girlfriend (Kristen Bell).
The second trailer for wreck it ralph looks good, better than the first one
ReplyDeleteglad you liked it, Some Guy
DeleteRobot and Frank! I love it - a must see and it has one of my favorite guys from Six Feet Under.
ReplyDeleteWreck-It Ralph looks adorable. The life of being a bad guy can be so rough!
Kevin James is also one of my favorites and he looks great. It's great to see him back in films and looking good.
So, THAT was the preview they released? Um, I'm all about the comedies, you know that, but I'm guessing if they had to release that as the preview for Hit and Run to grab our attention then the movie must not be all that great and we just saw the "best" of it in the highlights. I'll wait for it to come out on my paid channels. Thanks for saving me the rental, Dezzy!
ROBOT AND FRANKS is surprisingly charming, didn't expect it.
DeleteHe he... WRECKIT RALPH really has a tough life, we should ask that ebil cat of ours to join Ralph's Bad Group Anonymous :)
Ha ha ha - I don't think that evil cat can be helped by any Bad Group Anonymous it's so wretchedly evil!!
Deletehe would so fit that group sitting in the second picture :)
DeleteRobot and Frank looks like it will be a good one. Not sure I want robots to rule but in the movies they can have a grand time. Wreck it Ralph looks awesome. The cat loves the bad guys being shown off. And kevin james pffft who needs him.
ReplyDeletemaybe they would rule better than us, it's not like we've shown any goodness in the job
DeleteHmmm never thought of it that way, but I suppose they could indeed. Still don't want to be their slave or anything haha
Deleteyou mean your boss is not an emotionless, cold-hearted robot?
DeleteRobot and Frank should be good, I hope its not sad though... I've seen enough of those sad movies that are like that. Wreck It Ralph I've been hearing about on the video game blogs, it should be excellent. Here Comes The Boom looks pretty mediocre, never was a Kevin James fan really. Red Band not really my style :P
ReplyDeleteyep, I like ROBOT AND FRANK best among these as well!
DeleteRed Band is not the title of the film, son :PPPP
"Robot & Frank" looks quite good, actually!
ReplyDeleteit does, doesn't it?
DeleteComedy is so not my thing; but good to see so many trailers here Dezzy :)
ReplyDelete.......dhole
not mine either, Donnzie, but I had nothing else to show the nation :) It has been a very poor two month in the news department :(
DeleteROBOT & FRANK plus WRECK-IT RALPH look so wonderful. Both quirky in their own way.
ReplyDeleteyep, quirky and sweet, at least the first one :)
DeleteI love the look of Robot and Frank as well as Wreck It Ralph. The others, I'm not so sure about.
ReplyDeleteGreat selection of clips, though. A good variety for all of your friends and fans. :)
yep, the last two are not so lovely :)
DeleteWreck it ralph looks like a lot of fun; I like that it looks kind of deconstructive with video game genres.
ReplyDeleteyep, video game fans should like it a lot
DeleteFour for Four, DEZZ. Wicked.
ReplyDeleteNever had more trailers in one day :)
DeleteSeems like there are some fantastic movies coming out! Wreck it Ralph is the movie I wanna see the most this year!!
ReplyDeleteglad to see you excited, Bersecr!
Deletei really want to see wreck it ralph but frank and robot looks quite interesting, way more than i expected it to be
ReplyDeleteI was also surprised by the Robot trailer!
