While our favourite French and Belgian actress Virginie Efira is over at Cannes Film Festival this week, we shall take a peak at her new movie drama PARALLEL TALES (Histoires paralleles) from director Asghar Farhad which has started playing in French cinemas as of this week. The star studded cast also includes Vincent Cassel, Pierre Niney, Isabelle Huppert, Catherine Deneuve and Adam Bessa. In search of inspiration for her new novel, Sylvie spies on her neighbors across the street. When she hires young Adam to help her with her daily routine, she has no idea that he will turn her life and her work upside down, until the fiction she had imagined surpasses the reality of them all.

Although the plot is still kept under wraps, new movie project from Cannes winner Asghar Farhadi PARALLEL TALES is set to have Virginie Efira, Vincent Cassel, Pierre Niney, Isabelle Huppert, Adam Bessa and Catherine Deneuve in the cast. The film is set for spring 2026 release. After shooting over a dozen movies in three years, Efira is coming back to the big screens. This July she will star in VIE PRIVEE with Jodie Foster about a renowned psychiatrist who mounts a private investigation into the death of one of her patients, whom she is convinced has been murdered.

Can two people who’ve never met, one on the train and one not, work together to save the lives of its disparate group of passengers as the Heart of Britain service hurtles towards what might quite literally be its final destination? Beside The Ballad of Renegade Nell for which the cast was announced last weekend, we have another piece of sweet info from Disney + who have just cast our goddess Virginie Efira in their new French original TV series TOUT VA BIEN (It's Gonna Be OK) to be co-directed and co-produced by ‘The Bureau’ creator and show runner Eric Rochant. As Variety reports, the new dramedy, which will launch on Disney+ around the world in 2023 and starts shooting soon in Paris, revolves around an dysfunctional Parisian family confronted to the tragic illness of one their children. Nicole Garcia, Sara Giraudeau, Aliocha Schneider, Bernard Le Coq, Eduardo Noriega (I am guessing he could be the steamy papucito of the family with Virginie as the hot mamacita), Yannik Landrein, Mehdi Nebbou and Angèle Mièle are also in the cast.

We are all family oriented today, spylings, starting with the first poster for movie drama THE MATTACHINE FAMILY which is currently in post production under the helm of Andy Vallentine who also wrote the script. Gorgeous Nico Tortorella and Fuller House's Juan Pablo Di Pace play a gay couple in this warm drama which revolves around Thomas and Oscar who are very much in love, but after their first foster child returns to his birth mother, they find that they have different ideas about what it means to make a family. Emily Hampshire also stars in this film which does not currently have a scheduled release date nor a trailer.
