RUNNER also hits cinemas the same month, but September 11th and beside Alan Ritchson also stars Owen Wilson and Rodrigo Santoro. This high octane dynamic action thriller was directed by Scott Waugh. 

 

Wonderfully ripped Alan Ritchson takes the lead role as a former soldier who is thrown into a brutal race against time when a critical medical delivery makes him the target of a ruthless cartel. The delivery is liver which will save a little girl's life. In the movie set in Brisbane he has just three hours to fulfill the life saving delivery! The movie comes from Angel studios whose movies are becoming more and more lucrative at the box office!

THE STORY OF THE NEW SERIES

will describe how they set sail with 239 sailors from Spanish harbour of Cádiz on August 20, 1519, bringing the tale of the survival and journey of the only 18 sailors who returned after three years captained by the Spanish sailor Juan Sebastián Elcano and Portuguese explorer Fernando de Magallanes. They returned seriously unwell due to starvation, in the one ship that withstood the journey. They had traveled 14,460 leagues, west-bound, completing the circumnavigation of the world; an almost impossible mission that sought to find a new route to the "islands of spices" and that ended up changing the history of mankind by proving that the Earth is round. This feat forever transformed trade, economy, astronomy and knowledge of the planet, and is considered one of the greatest achievements in human history.

The cast of the show also includes Sergio Peris-Mencheta as Captain Cartagena, Adrián Lastra as Captain Mendoza, Carlos Cuevas as Martino), Pepón Nieto as Father Bartolomé, Raúl Tejón as Gómez de Espinosa, Gonçalo Diniz as Duarte Barrosa, Manuel Morón as Cardenal Fonseca and Bárbara Goenaga as Beatriz. The six episode show itself was shot in Spain with Dominican Republic covering the more exotic locations. A bit more than a year ago the spy informed you that Amazon and director Simon West are preparing BOUNDLESS epic TV adventure series

and now they've announced Rodrigo Santoro and Alvaro Morte as leads in the roles of famous explorers Magellan and Elcano! This four part series, telling the story of Juan Sebastián Elcano and Ferdinand Magellan’s epic voyage around the world after they set sail from Spain 500 years ago, will also star Sergio Peris Mencheta (Captain Cartagena), Adrian Lastra (Captain Mendoza), Carlos Cuevas (Martino), Pepon Nieto (Father Bartolomé), Raul Tejon (Gómez de Espinosa), Goncalo Diniz (Duarte Barbosa), Manuel Moron (Cardenal Fonseca) and Barbara Goenaga (Beatriz). To start shooting this month in Spain and Dominican Republic, the series will have two of the original ships

Comic Con in San Diego was really spectacular last night when it comes to the science fiction genre bringing us three amazing new trailers for sf series. Amazon has finally released the first real trailer for STAR TREK: PICARD

Star Trek Picard will air on Amazon Prime

series which will air sometime later this year on Amazon Prime (and on CBS All Access for those who care to give the streaming service their money). Not much is known about the plot of the new spin off from the Star Trek franchise, other that it will see Patrick Stewart playing famous Enterprise captain in his older years, breaking his retirement (which he enjoyed producing vine and playing with his new dog) and going on a new interstellar adventure. What we do know now is that, much to the joy of Star Trek fans, his old Enterprise crew members

Meanwhile, TBS released a trailer and first photos for what they are hoping will become their own tentpole sf series, post apocalyptic drama SNOWPIERCER based on the cult sf film with Chris Evans, but this time, at least judging by the trailer, on a much grander scale. Jennifer Connelly (as the head of hospitality who is also the voice of the train), Daveed Diggs (as an ex detective who gets the task to track a killer in the train), Alison Wright, Lena Hall, Mickey Sumner, and Steven Ogg will lead the show in which the only living inhabitants of Earth live in a constantly moving massive train as the temperature outside is well bellow minus 100 degrees Celsius! It will air on TBS next spring set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, and following the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation.
