Launched last year over at Venice Film Festival, Mark Jenkin's movie drama ROSE OF NEVADA has released a rather atmospheric trailer with Callum Turner and George MacKay. This science fiction mystery movie tells the story of a fishing vessel that was lost at sea 30 years ago, and mysteriously reappears in the harbour of a fishing village. A mysterious boat returns to a village thirty years after it vanished. Two men join its crew hoping for better fortune. After one voyage, they find themselves transported back in time, mistaken for the original crew. It is out April 24th in UK.

It follows Sam (Turner), a British filmmaker facing a life crisis as he visits the Arabian desert for a job. His career is stalling, he’s on the brink of a divorce, and he’s feeling guilty about being an absent father to his young son. During a freak rainstorm, he has a fleeting and powerful connection with the captivating Inma (Arjona), and these two strangers in a strange land are consumed by mutual attraction. But this isn’t a love story. These are adults with baggage, unable to walk away from their pasts. Sam also develops a bond with charismatic local guide Abdullah (Masry), whose unlikely friendship offers him the chance to further explore his emotions. Sam’s journey is both poignant and comedic; it may not provide him with easy answers, but it does offer him a chance to start anew.

A few months ago I informed you that science fiction classic novel NEUROMANCER from William Gibson will be turned into a ten episode sf series with Callum Turner as the lead star over at Apple TV + and now we hear that Mark Strong has joined him as well. The story of the novel and the new series follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Callum Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly (Briana Middleton), a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets. Graham Roland will be the show runner and executive producer of the new television series in which Strong will play Armitage, Case and Molly’s mysterious employer, while Joseph Lee will play Hideo, a professional bodyguard.

Produced again by Steven Spielberg the series will launch January 26th opening the TV season of the new 2024 with two episodes with the rest  of the nine part season streaming weekly till mid March! From the George Clooney directed big screen movie adaptation of Daniel James Brown's book THE BOYS IN THE BOAT we have the first images of our boy Callum Turner this time with a blond hair. Opening in cinemas around you this Christmas December 25th, this potential award winning1930's set movie also stars Joel Edgerton, James Wolk and Luke Slattery.

THE STORY OF THE BOYS IN THE BOAT
revolves around the 1936 University of Washington rowing team that competed for gold at the Summer Olympics in Berlin. This inspirational true story follows a group of underdogs at the height of the Great Depression as they are thrust into the spotlight and take on elite rivals from around the world.
