Straight over from United Kingdom comes the trailer for moving comedy drama GLENROTHAN a directorial debut for Brian Cox in which he also takes the lead role next to Alan Cumming. They play two brothers following a violent exchange with their father on the day of their mother's funeral, the younger of the two left their Highland home for America. After forty years they reunite in the land of their birth. The older brother has stepped  down as chairman of the family's whisky distillery and now unveils his plan to pass on the torch to his younger brother Donal who moved to the US nearly 40 years ago and has no intention to run the family's business. The film is out April 17th in cinemas.

Brian Cox, Edie Falco, to Dean Norris, Parker Posey, and Vivian Bang! It follows young couple Rohan (Nik Dodani) and Josh (Brandon Flynn) as they plan a perfect weekend getaway in the country to introduce their parents. As tensions begin to flare between the more traditional Sharon (Edie Falco) and Frank (Brian Cox) and the laid-back Liddy (Lisa Kudrow) and Cliff (Dean Norris), the families soon realize that their rental, managed by eccentric local Brenda (Parker Posey), is haunted by the presence of a 400-year-old poltergeist. When one parent becomes thoroughly possessed, it’s up to the young couple and their meddlesome BFF Sara to unite the families and stop the evil entity once and for all. It will also stream from March 13 on Binge and April 4 on Foxtel over in Australia.

For the kids and fans of animation there will be an animated adventure movie THAT CHRISTMAS over at Netflix these holidays, arriving December 4th with Brian Cox lending his voice. In this comedy, a blizzard hits a seaside town, setting off entwined tales of family, friends, love and loneliness — and Santa making a big mistake. Richard Curtis directs based on his own trilogy of Christmas books for children. It is interesting that British pop sensation Ed Sheeran has written a special song Under the Tree especially for this movie so you can look forward to a nice tune as well. Cinematic drama vignettes depict Shakespeare’s life alongside a host of stars and experts, including Dame Judi Dench, Brian Cox, Adrian Lester, Helen Mirren, Martin Freeman and Jessie Buckley, alongside academics and writers bringing fresh insights into the story of Britain's greatest writer. Tracing Shakespeare’s life story, each episode follows the triumphs and setbacks of his writing life, revealing how the people he met and the world he witnessed found their way into his work. The series starts on BBC Two from November 8th. Daniel Boyarsky plays Shakespeare himself in the series.

turned into series but they've been sold in more than million copies so far and include titles such as THE PLANTAGENETS, a New York Times bestseller,

Dan will also work at Sony as their history consultant

and THE TEMPLARS. He hosted historical documentaries at Netflix and Channel 5 before and was a consultant on History's epic show Knightfall. Last year he published his sixth book, this one dealing with the Crusaders.

There's also a new movie on another famous historical figure: out this spring is German drama THE YOUNG KARL MARX following his early years and the starts of his political work.  26 year-old Karl Marx (August Diehl) embarks with his wife, Jenny, on the road to exile. In 1844 Paris, he meets Friedrich Engels (Stefan Konarske), an industrialist's son, who investigated the sordid birth of the British working class. Engels, the dandy, provides the last piece of the puzzle to the young Karl Marx's new vision of the world. Together, between censorship and the police's repression, riots and political upheavals, they will lead the labour movement during its development into a modern era.
