1. CNCO & LITLE MIX - Reggaeton Lento

Just like Cheap Thrills made us shake our bums last year I'm sure for many of you it was this song this year! Heard it thousands of times, still not tired of it.

2. NICOLE SCHERZINGER - Never Give Up

Although the song is actually Sia's, Nicole was called to perform it in number of occasions this year and she owned it magnificently with her powerful voice and soulful singing! It's from Lion soundtrack!

3. RAG'N'BONE MAN -Skin

It is without any doubt one of the best male voices of the year.

5. ANASTACIA - Caught in the Middle

Anastacia returned this year with a brand new single, stronger than ever after her cancer fight. I will never understand why she's not big in America!

6. GENTLEMAN & SEAN PAUL - Ovaload

Seanzy mixed his Jamaican vibes with Germany's best Gentleman in this utterly addictive summer reggae hit!

7. MAITRE GIMS - Cameleon
Our favourite French singer ruled our chart two years ago with his super hits Est-ce que tu m'aimes? and Je Te Perdonne which was on Wonder Woman soundtrack too, now he is back with another irresistible hit! 

8. DISCIPLES - On My Mind

My number one dance song this year! Comes from United Kingdom!

9. ZAYN & TAYLOR SWIFT - I don't Wanna Live Forever

Honestly, cannot stand either of them, but the song is sooo good! It was part of the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack!

Another one of my fave dance songs this year!

12. SOPRANO - Roule

Soprano is another of our favourite French singers of the year!

Maluma Baby is our fave Latin superstar this year! Who could ever resist him? Oh, and I need that suit of his from the video!

14. LUIS FONSI - Despacito

I'm sure it will this year's world number one! Number 14 here!

One of the absolute dance hits of the year, coming from  UK and Australia!

To be honest, 2014 wasn't much of a year when it comes to music - it was mostly dominated by superficial pop tarts, and some people for whom you just cannot understand how they ended up in music business, but, there were still some lovely tunes that we've listened to during the year, so here are HOLLYWOOD SPY's top 25 songs of 2014! 1. CELINE DION - Breakaway

 The empress of pop came back to the scene  this year, but sadly, due to her husband's cancer she didn't shoot videos. However, this mesmerizing performance of her below won my heart with refined elegance, deep emotions and heartfelt lyrics. She was our number 3 last year with 'Loved Me Back To Life'
But on the other side of yesterday 
Beyond the heartache what if all I am 
Without the pain Is empty hearted
 I could break away

2. DANIEL DE BOURG - She Know How

You probably haven't heard of Daniel nor of this song, but its subtle sexiness and enchantingly seductive beat won me over and I couldn't stop listening to it and watching the steamy video! Pure perfection! It also helps that Daniel is mindblowingly hot!

3. ARASH - One Day
Probably the most beautiful video of the year, it is the third and final song in his series of love balads done with Helena which also include BROKEN ANGEL and PURE LOVE. 

4. KENDJI GIRAC - Color Gitano
The song I danced most to this year! Love the rhythm!

6. SANA NIELSEN - Undo

She represented Sweden this year at EuroSong and if you ask me should have won with this powerful ballad! The most angelic voice I've ever heard!

7. SIA - Chandelier

The song would've been higher on the list if I didn't deem the video inappropriate because of the costume that little girl wears.

8. ANASTACIA - Stupid Little Things

Sadly, my fave singer ever doesn't have a strong record label behind her, but I'm glad she returned after battling two cancers.

You probably haven't heard of him, but as with Daniel De Bourgh, this is the beat that went right under my skin this year!

Continuing our tradition of spotlighting some fresh new music at the end of the week, today I'm playing some inspiring new pop tunes for you, starting with one of the best pop vocals in music history, magnificent Anastacia who returned to the music scene earlier this year with the new album RESURRECTION (this is what her name means in Greek) after battling two cancers in recent years. STARING AT THE SUN is her second single from the album with the video shot as a short artsy movie with Anastacia appearing only in glimpses (if I got it right she suffered hernia and couldn't be at the set).

My favourite band in the world (after One Republic), brilliant Irish trio The Script, have released the first single from their new album NO SOUND WITHOUT SILENCE, and as always the song, titled SUPERHEROES, has outstandingly inspiring lyrics:

Unlike most of todays trashy videos with empty glitz, Danny O'Donoghue and the guys have shot the video in African slums celebrating everyday heroes who rise when it is the toughest.

And the last song today comes from British musician Professor Green whom you know as the author of one of the most powerful pop songs in last few decades, the Olympic anthem READ ALL ABOUT IT which he did with Emeli Sande. His new song is called LULLABY and the chorus in it is sung by Tory Kelly. The song is taken from his upcoming album GROWING UP IN PUBLIC.
