TV SERIES GETS A CAST AT CHANNEL 4
Exactly a year ago I told you that Channel 4 and French Canal + are making a six part drama out of Joseph Kessel's book ARMY OF SHADOWS,
which was already turned into a classic film depicting the emergence of
the French Resistance to the Nazi occupation of France during World War
2. Channel
4 will switch it into the story of how resistance takes
shape in a
near-future authoritarian Britain.
Under de facto American occupation, a former British army officer builds
a covert resistance cell from scratch - navigating betrayal, moral
compromise and the tension between patience and action - as young
recruits fight to reclaim their country and their
futures.
Across six thrilling episodes, the series chronicles the early days of
the British Resistance. From first kills and internal betrayals to
propaganda campaigns, internment camps, and a climactic political
assassination - this is a story about how freedom is taken and how it
can be won back. It has been revealed that Paddy Considine, Kit Harington, Alex Hassell and America Ferrera will lead the cast.

Is the right one on the 2nd row of pictures really a woman?
ReplyDeleteLOL America Ferrera is not the prettiest of women, this is probably why she played Ugly Betty in the American version of that famous Latino series some ten years ago.
DeleteThis casting lineup is absolutely stellar, and Paddy Considine, Kit Harington, and Alex Hassell together in a dystopian thriller is basically my dream team. I love the concept of adapting such a legendary classic like Army of Shadows into a modern, near-future setting. It feels incredibly tense and relevant already.
