After the movies on Gogol and Pushkin, Russians have prepared a historical biopic on another of their legendary writers, this time LERMONTOV on Mikhail Lermontov, famous writer, painter and poet, often called The Poet of Caucasus, the most important Russian poet after Alexander Pushkin's death in 1837 and the greatest figure in Russian Romanticism. We have the trailer as well, beside the first trailer, poster and images, for the film that will be out in domestic cinemas October 16th! The writer famous for A Hero of Our Time and The Death of a Poet, is played by Ilya Ozolin with our insanely gorgeous heartthrob Yevgeny Romantsov in the lead supporting role. The film see the story taking place in Pyatigorsk, at the foot of Mount Mashuk, on the morning of July 15, 1841. Two days ago, Lermontov (Ilya Ozolin) and Martynov (Yevgeny Romantsov) were friends, but now they have become irreconcilable enemies. There are only a few hours left before their duel, but none of the poet's friends, relatives or buddies think about the tragic ending. The film tells the story of the last day in the life of one of the greatest poets the world has even seen. He died at just 26 year old and managed to be remembered in history in such a short life span.
