SENDS GLEN POWELL INTO THE TWISTER
During the Super Bowl first trailer has been released for catastrophe adventure movie TWISTERS which will twist its way into the cinemas July 19th with
out dearest Glen Powell in the lead role. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, it sees Daisy Edgar-Jones playing Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi (Anthony Ramos) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.
As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler and their competing teams find
themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives.

Jason liked the movie Twister from like 20 years ago. Wasn't really my cuppa, but if he wants to watch this one too, I guess we'll watch it together.
ReplyDeleteI do watch most of the disaster movies, don't know why. I cannot stand Daisy Ridley but love Powell.
DeleteSo is it a remake? Can't remember whether I liked Twister or not...but most catastrophe films are more or less the same.
ReplyDeleteI would not call it a remake as it does not have the same story, but it is simply also about twisters.
