Robert and his brother David were the leaders of the family |
Descending from a family of power spanning generations, Robert Forester
Mushet is an ambitious man, obsessed with the innovative and
technological advances of the industrial age, and making a name for
himself. He risks it all, putting his personal happiness and fortune on
the line to pioneer the next big thing. But as success descends upon the
family, he soon tastes the betrayal and deceit as other ambitious men
circle to capitalise on his inventions and finds himself battling the
dreaded Mushet curse, which plagues his family.
Sounds interesting, but I dread British products. What has Checklist done before?
ReplyDeleteNot sure, but the producer will be Nick Arthurs who worked on The Witcher, A Discovery of Witches and The Alienist
DeleteAmbition and innovation for sure lead to success! Unlike Malena, I prefer British products, but this one is not something I usually watch. Have a wonderful, hopefully sunny day, Dezzy.
ReplyDeleteIt is sunny, although it is muddy due to rain last two days. I also prefer Brits to Americans. Malena probably had in mind wokeism that Brits are forced into these days.
DeleteThank you Gattocito, for getting me right. I attended British school as a child that turned em into an Anglophile at an early age + I was hooked by the BBC since the first Dr. Who ad the first Forsyte Saga, but in the last decade, the woke agenda has sequestered the BB/ITV programs. Negatively affectingscript, writing and technical aspects.
DeleteFunny, I’m re-watching Discovery and The Alienist (I hated The Witcher despite Cavill’s biceps) The first one is just an exercise of drooling over MG, otherwise it sucks. The Alienist offers solid (albeit sordid) mysteries, but it also sports wokeism galore, horrible lighting, fake Old New York (shot in Budapest) and the worst trio of protagonist ever. So, I’m not impressed by Mr. Arthur’s curriculum.
Hope he does this one better, he says it will be like Poldark.
DeleteThat actually sounds like an interesting story line.
ReplyDeleteShould be glitzy da Victorian way!
DeleteI like people who risk a lot
ReplyDeleteInteresting
DeleteTale as old as time, others trying to steal your ideas and capitalize on your success.
