LANA CONDOR IS
BOO BITCH AT NETFLIX
Comedy updates today for you, starting with news coming from Variety about Lana Condor returning to Netflix where she will lead new eight episode half hour comedy series BOO, BITCH. In the show, over the course
of one night, a high school senior (Condor) who’s lived her life safely under the radar seizes the opportunity to change her narrative and start living an epic life, only to find out the next morning that she’s a ghost.
Lara Condor will lead the cast of the new sitcom for Netflix |
WELCOME TO GEORGIA
ADS TARAN KILLAM TO THE CAST
Meanwhile, over at CBS, they are moving on with their multicam sitcom WELCOME TO GEORGIA to which they've just added Taran Killam opposite Elizabeth Hurley and Hannah Simone. The comedy is
about a daughter and her mom. When Penelope’s (Simone) career takes off at exactly the same time as her husband’s, they call on her young single mom, Georgia (Hurley), to help raise their son, but what they find is Georgia needs
more raising than their kid.
Killam will play Josh, Penelope’s husband, father to their toddler son, Levi, and an airline pilot who loves his job. Josh is a bit more tolerant of Penelope’s mother, Georgia, and tends to cut her more slack.
Taran Killam will be Hurley's son in law in the new comedy |
Hannah Simone will play Elizabeth Hurley's daughter |
We could all be so lucky to age as beautifully as Hurley. It will be nice having her back on the screen again, but it does break my heart knowing that The Royals won't be making a return now that she's lined up for other work. (I knew it was dead, but I held on to a glimmer of hope it could return some day. *Sobs*)
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit ridiculous that they think we will buy it into Hurley being Hannah's mom, she looks younger than her LOL Royals is dead as dodo and the saddest thing is William Moseley is missing in action. I miss him a lot.
DeleteYes, they look more like sisters.
DeleteI hope Moseley comes back to us soon!
He has a very bad agent. There is so much potential in that hunkster.
DeleteThe mother looks too young to have an adult daughter...don't you think? Boo Bitch seems really interesting.
ReplyDeleteShe does, exquisitely so, but Hurley does have a grown up son in real life, but not in his late 20s as I assume Penelope will be here.
DeleteMy God Liz has aged well. She looks fantastic for 55. I agree, she doesn't pass the smell test as Penelope's mom. Loved Taran on SNL, so looking forward to this!
ReplyDeleteYup, Liz's still got it! ππ»
DeleteAnd Lana, watched her in the To All The Boys I've Loved or whatever movies but, I'm skeptic about her being funny... π She is an actress after all so, this could be good π€·♂️ Love the name of the show - pretty sassy! π Who knows, I may check it out after all.
And what I like about Netflix is, you get full seasons right away (most of the time) so, if you get into the trailer or the first episode... You can go for it π―
Liz is probably hotter now than she ever was before :)
DeleteYes, Asian actors have a very unusual view of comedy, I don't find them funny at all, just remember horrid Jen from Last Man Standing or the godawful Ken Yeung, but maybe Condor has an American approach to humour?
It's a hard pass for me on Boo, bitch.. Where do I know Hannah Simone from? She looks so familiar! I'm off to Duckduckgo :)
ReplyDeleteCircling back.. She's from New Girl. Mystery solved. :)
DeleteI've never watched her in anything, but I hate her bangs LOL
