CAMERON DOING "BATTLE ANGEL ALITA"?
It seems that after many years of preparations and gossips "Battle Angel Alita" could be James Cameron's next blockbuster project. There is a huge possibility that he will do the adaptation of the manga classic about the cyborg which suffers from amnesia when they find her head and torso and rebuild her after which she tries to discover who she was in the previous life.
Recently at the ComicCon, Cameron said: "Battle Angel's definitely something that I still love, and that's something we are looking at very seriously."

I tried to read the original manga a few years ago. And it really didn't interest me that much. It looked to me like any other manga/anime cyborg story. I couldn't even read the whole story. (I think I read one book out of five.)
ReplyDeleteBut that doesn't mean I'm not interested how would Alita look under Cameron's thumb.
If this really is going to be his next project, I'm very curious about who'll be the main female star :))
ReplyDeleteBut I guess it all depends on the success of that darn AVATAR :)
I think it was mentioned that Alita will be some kind of animated film. Really advanced animated film considering it's Cameron, but still only animated.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will feature live actors.
Oooh, I hope not, who would wanna watch Cameron's animated movie?
ReplyDeleteEspecially when he makes one movie per decade :)
