THE BEST AND THE WORST DRESSED CELEBRITIES AT LAST NIGHT'S GOLDEN GLOBES 2011

Now I know that last night's Golden Globes were in the shadow of HOLLYWOOD SPY'S ANNUAL AWARDS :) but whom did you like best at the boring old Globes? Must admit no one has taken my breath away this time with their fashion, but when it comes to best dressed ladies here are HOLLYWOOD SPY'S favourites:

I thought Jane Krakowski was the best dressed lady in the house, although pregnant she was absolutely magnificent in that asymmetric metallic blue gown with gorgeous earrings and lovely hair. Olivia Wilde was also looking elegant and sexy in her star studded chocolate gown,

although I didn't like her hair, while Mila Kunis also looked pretty in her emerald silky dress which matched her mesmerizing eyes even though she's still young and could wear sexier things as well. Catherine Zeta Jones, who is generally the best dressed women in the world, also looked radiant and charismatic as usual, but it was more due to her inner beauty and her unbeatable natural elegance. I would love to see more vibrant colours on her. Her hair was gorgeous.
The worst looking were undoubtedly Natalie Portman, who showed a total absence of elegance and style beside her total absence of acting skills, while I kinda expected from Tilda Swinton to appear in something as horrible as her shapeless skirt and blouse in different shades of white - which is a big NO!

Best dressed gentlemen were off course Alex Pettyfer (I AM NUMBER FOUR), dashing young Hollywood star, then there's our future Thor Chris Hemsworth in a bow-tie and Jeremy Renner (HURT LOCKER) who was probably the best dressed among them all, totally dressed in dark blue which I especially like to see on men.

Yes, my darlings, it's January, the new year is here and it's time for HOLLYWOOD SPY'S ANNUAL AWARDS. I am giving out the awards for 2011 to the people who have shared their wit, love, support, charm and positive energy with their favourite HOLLYWOOD SPY throughout the last year. You know

that HOLLYWOOD SPY always appreciates your support, comments and visits. The awards are going to all of you who were visiting and loving your spy on a daily basis in 2010! So, my gorgeous ladies and my dashing gentlemen here are the 2011 winners:

Now, if Charlie can have his angels, why wouldn't Dezz have his own? I actually have four of them - four ladies full of grace, kindness, intelligence and love: my brilliant Indonesian angel Ruth from FLIX CHATTER, my smart Australian angel Lyndylove from W.I.P. IT, my kind Native American angel Avalon from AVALON-MEDIEVAL, and my sweet American angel RaShelle from  A Number 2 Pencil Stat. And yes, since they are gorgeous and smokin' hot, they might even pose for their Dezzy in angel's outfits :))

Now, as you know, HOLLYWOOD SPY has his own stellar constellation of stars which are watching over him from all corners of the world shinning with their love. Here they are, my own stars:

SF STAR of the year is off course Alex J. Cavanaugh. Although I didn't have a chance to read his book, we've all seen what kind of buzz his CASSASTAR created around the blogosphere last Autumn.

WELSH STAR of 2011 is our dear Jamie from MITHRIL WISDOM, HOLLYWOOD SPY's own Indiana Jones, a brilliant young mind with a Master's Degree in Egyptology who lives near Catherine Zeta Jones (who is looking stunning tonight in the auditorium ;)

ASIAN STAR for 2011 is my dear Jaccsy from BUZZES CAFE, who also won a HOLLYWOOD SPY award last year, and who has tricked one lovely girl into marrying him last month so Nanny McDezzy is expecting his own Asian Godson or Goddaughter in about nine months :)

CANADIAN STAR for 2011 is our dear Clarissa Draper from LISTEN TO THE VOICES, HOLLYWOOD SPY's own forensic expert and also our secret Mexican spy ;)

KIWI STAR for 2011 is my favourite creature from New Zealand beside Karl Urban, my lovely and beautiful Wendy from MUSINGS FROM DOWN UNDER one of the most kind beings from the Middle Earth.

STAR OF NADIR is no one else but the lady who brought the little town of Nadir into the world of books, my dear Lisa Maliga from LEAVING NADIR. A very talented writer  and a great friend.

A very special FIGHTER OF THE YEAR award goes to my beloved Victoria Casvell from HAIRNETS AND HOPES an inspiring lady who fights for her dreams among hairnets and a bunch of children  like a true hero.

CHARMER OF THE YEAR award goes to one dashing top model and a beloved blogger, Dempsey Sanders from THEMOVIE411. His kind soul and stunning looks have charmed us all. He shares this award with a breathtaking, superwitty hunk called Christian James whom I love heaps (and then some more).

CAVEMAN OF THE YEAR goes to the best caveman out there, the pride and joy of all Canada - Kal from CALVIN'S CANADIAN CAVE OF COOLNESS, whom we love for making posts like this one or this one. He almost never comments here, but he supports his favourite spy with numerous links.

MAN OF INTEGRITY AWARD goes to Arlee Bird from TOSSING IT OUT, a man whom we deeply respect, admire, a writer with the most natural narrative talent and our favourite grumpy grandfather (he's fresh and young as daisy but he already has grandkids) :)

BEN FOSTER, RACHEL WEISZ & ANTHONY HOPKINS IN "360". SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR'S NEW TV SHOW "RINGER". CAPTIVATING TRAILER FOR SF FILM "LOVE" WITH GUNNER WRIGHT

It seems Sarah Michelle Gellar will finally return to TV after BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. She will take the lead role in RINGER,  a new TV show about a young woman who is on the run from

the mob which will be broadcast on CBS.  Her character in the show will unwittingly assume the role of her wealthy twin sister, only to discover that her sibling has an ungodly price on her head. RINGER is the product of the SUPERNATURAL writers.

Now, here's an interesting cast of quality actors - according to "Deadline" young Ben Foster (THE MECHANIC, XMEN) will join Rachel Weisz and Anthony Hopkins in 360 a new film from THE CONSTANT GARDENER director Fernando Meirelles. Although the plot hasn't been revealed yet, it is known that the film will follow a number of intersecting story lines dealing with each characters' infidelity. Apparently the film will consist of love scenes, and after each scene one of the partners is shown in a new love scene with some other partner and so on until they close the circle of adultery.

SHORT HEADLINES The ALIEN prequel I've mentioned last week with Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender and maybe even Angelina Jolie  in the cast will be titled

PROMETHEUS. Paramount wants STAR TREK II to be 3D.

"FirstShowing.Net" has published a visually extremely captivating and interesting first trailer for the new indie sf film called LOVE. The film focuses on a single astronaut (played by young Gunner Wright) who after losing contact with Earth becomes stranded in orbit aboard the Space Station. As time passes and life support systems dwindle, he battles to maintain his sanity and simply stay alive. His world is a claustrophobic and lonely existence... until he makes a strange discovery. JIM CARREY IN "RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT". JOSH LUCAS & JAMES D'ARCY AS "ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER"? JUSTING LONG & RYAN PHILLIPPE DEALING WEED IN "CHRONICLE"!

Although it was said that Eric Bana will get the lead role in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, which will follow the American president, who becomes obsessed with slaying vampires after his mother is killed by one, now it appears that a whole bunch of actors will be screen testing for the role. The list includes Adrien Brody, Josh Lucas, James D'Arcy (captivating British actor from MASTER AND COMMANDER, AN

AMERICAN HAUNTING) and some other young actors too and they will all compete to star in Timur Bekmambetov's adaptation of  the Seth Grahame Smith novel.

Jim Carrey will take the lead role in RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT for Paramount Pictures.  The famous comedian will star in the epic film about the life of newspaper columnist Robert Ripley who searched around the world for the most unusual people and places that he

immortalized in his newspaper column. The locales were exotic and the sights were unbelievable, but the film is about Robert Ripley's journey to appreciate that the unusual people were more than just conquests to be cataloged. The film almost started production back in 2007 according to "MovieWeb" but this time it's really moving on.

Now here's a crazy script for a pretty great cast: according to "Playlist" CHRONICLE will be a  film focusing on two childhood friends who reunite to launch the biggest marijuana dealership in New York City.The actors who are in talks to take roles in the film are: Justin Long, Ryan Phillippe, Mickey Rourke, Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent D'Onofrio ...

SHORT HEADLINES ABC has officially greenlit the pilot for the new CHARLIE'S ANGELS TV show produced by Drew Barrymore. The search for the new angels is on. Believe it or not, the fifth installment of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN is already being planned, and Johnny Depp wants the lead role again. Ben Stiller will team with Will Ferrell in ZOOLANDER 2.

Ever since Andy Whitfield left SPARTACUS BLOOD AND SAND because of his cancer problems, there has been a lot of rumors about the future of the super popular epic show. When it was officially announced that the show will continue with a new actor Hollywood Spy's favourite Wentworth

Miller has expressed his wish to take the role, but now it seems that his partner from PRISON BREAK could get the role: according to "Beyond Hollywood" much more muscular Dominic Purcell has already screen tested for the role of Spartacus, but there's also the young Australian actor Liam McIntyre who was left as the main candidate after the previous round of auditions. So, we shall see the famous rebellion of slaves on TV but we still don't know who will be its leader.

Ridley Scott’s ALIEN prequel is currently in the casting process and it seems we shall see some really great names in the prequel to the famous sf saga about freakish alien monsters. Since the film will have a female lead, the studio wants Charlize Theron, a name big enough to back up the film's huge budget. According to rumors,

Michael Fassbender could play an android in the film, while Asian star Michelle Yeoh could get the role of Vickers, a fortysomething, tough-but-sexy crew member.

SHORT HEADLINES Famous soap opera from the 80's DYNASTY will be made into a film, Blake, Alexis and Crystal are coming back to life. Frances McDormand will give voice to a calculating and goal-oriented animal control officer in

MADAGASCAR III. Disney is already planning TRON LEGACY sequel.

You've probably seen this since yesterday when it premiered, but here's the first image of Andrew Garfield in costume in the new SPIDER-MAN reboot. The film is currently shooting and it will appear in cinemas in 2012 also starring Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as the villain, Martin Sheen as Spidey's uncle, C. Thomas Howell... The reboot will portray Spider-man as a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises.

NEW ROLES FOR ORLANDO BLOOM, RON LIVINGSTON, ADRIEN BRODY, RACHEL MCADAMS, MICHELLE PFEIFFER, CHRIS PINE, KATHY BATES, CHANNING TATUM, TOM HIDDLESTON...

And this is also almost official now: as rumored, Orlando Bloom (who has just become a father few days ago with top model Miranda Kerr) will again play the magnificent and ethereal Elven archer Legolas in Peter Jackson's THE HOBBIT but he will have just a two minute role for which he will apparently get $1 million. Another official addition to THE HOBBIT cast is Christopher Lee who will again play the evil Saruman. Some other Hobbits from the LORD OF THE RINGS might join the cast from the Middle Earth again as well these days.

Ron Livingston (BAND OF BROTHERS, SEX AND THE CITY)has just scored two new gigs: he will appear in TEN YEAR alongside Channing Tatum, Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson, Lynn Collins and John Krasinski. The

film's about a group of friends who reunite ten years after their high-school graduation. He will also star in a very strange film called THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN in which he and Jennifer Garner will be a childless couple, unable to conceive, who bury all their wishes for a baby in a box in their backyard. One day, they wake up to find that a child is born, but the child is not all that it appears.

SHORT HEADLINES Blake Lively and Emma Watson will compete for the female role beside Taylor Lautner in YA fantasy film INCARCERON.  Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley and Jessica Biel will all audition for roles in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, but it

seems Eva Green and Naomi Watts are the top contenders for female roles in the new Batman film. Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig have been confirmed for JAMES BOND 23.

Michelle Pfeiffer has joined WELCOME TO PEOPLE, in which she will play the mother of a young businessman (Chris Pine),  who returns home after his estranged father's sudden death only to discover a surprising family secret that he has an older sister (Elizabeth Banks) he never knew about and a young nephew. Olivia Wilde will play Chris Pine's girlfriend.

Although I can't stand him, Woody Allen has got himself a nice cast in MIDNIGHT IN PARIS a romantic comedy that follows a family traveling to the city for business. The party includes a young engaged couple that has their lives transformed throughout the journey. The film celebrates a young man’s great love for Paris, and simultaneously explores the illusion people have that a life different from their own is better. The cast includes: Adrien Brody, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Owen Wilson, Michael Sheen, Kathy Bates, Tom Hiddleston ..

DAVID TENNANT IN "THE HOBBIT" AS THE ELVEN KING? LENA HEADEY AS VILLAIN IN "JUDGE DREDD". FIRST TRAILER AND AMAZING PICS FROM NEW EPIC SHOW "CAMELOT"

Beside Ian McKellen and Elijah Wood who have been officially confirmed for THE HOBBIT alongside Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving and Andy Serkis (Orlando Bloom hasn't been officially confirmed yet), the epic adaptation will get another new cast addition - David Tennant (DR. WHO)  will play Elf King Thranduil who is also the father of Legolas. If you remember, David was previously offered the role of Bilbo Baggins himself, but it was later on given to Martin Freeman.

Pretty Lena Headey (SARA CONNOR CHRONICLES, Spartan Queen Gorgo from 300) has joined the remake of JUDGE DREDD as Madeline Madrigal, a.k.a. Ma-Ma according to "MovieWeb".  As you know, HOLLYWOOD

SPY's favourite actor Karl Urban is playing the lead role which was previously played by Silvester Stallone, while Lena will play the main villain, a dangerous and naughty gang leader with a scar on her cheek. The sf film about a judge who sentences criminals as soon as he catches them should premiere sometime in 2012.

SHORT HEADLINES Steven Spielberg's prehistoric show TERRA NOVA will premiere on May 23rd on Fox. Tom Hardy has been seen with a bald head and a beard sparking rumors that he might play Dr. Hugo Strange, the main villain in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. The first trailer for CAPTAIN AMERICA :THE FIRST AVENGER with Chris Evans has been delayed because it apparently wasn't amazing enough.

Few weeks ago HOLLYWOOD SPY has shown you a behind the scenes clip of Starz' ambitious new epic show CAMELOT which will premiere

April 1st, and I have the first trailer and some great new pictures for you. Starring Joseph Fiennes as a more battle loving Merlin, Eva Green as evil Morgana, Jamie Campbel Bower as young Arthur, Tamsin Egerton as Guienevere and Claire Forliani as Arthur's mother Queen Igraine, the show will bring an exciting, dynamic and sexy new take on the famous tale about Arthur and Merlin. The romantic adventure will present a historically authentic retelling of the classic King Arthur legend. When King Uther is poisoned by his own daughter, his legitimate but publicly unknown son, Arthur, must succeed the king and return greatness to the Castle Camelot.

SALMA HAYEK AND A "WICKED" WITCH OF THE WEST. NEW PICTURES FROM FANTASY HORROR "RED RIDING HOOD". VANESSA MINNILLO AND NICK LACHEY TO STAR IN "HAWAII FIVE O"

According to "Variety" ABC will work with Salma Hayek on bringing WICKED to TV. The eight part miniseries will be based on WICKED: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST, a book by Gregory Maguire,

which retells the story from THE WIZARD OF OZ presenting the witch as a hero fighting for her homeland. The book was later on made into a successful Broadway musical. Salma Hayek will be the executive producer and we still don't know whether she will star in it too.

SHORT HEADLINES Colin Farrell has officially got the lead role in the remake of TOTAL RECALL. Stan Lee will have a cameo in the new SPIDER-MAN. The first trailer for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS should be released in a month or so. JURASSIC PARK 4 will not happen -the rumors have been officially denied.  Elijah Wood has been added to the cast of THE HOBBIT as Frodo.

Here's some news and some eye-candy for you: one of the cutest celebrity couples actress Vanessa Minnillo and singer Nick Lachey will play together in Alex O'Loughlin's popular police show HAWAII FIVE O, where they will be engaged just like in reality. Minnillo will apparently play a woman who is engaged to Lachey's character and who works as a deckhand on a cruise boat that is taken hostage by pirates.

Some new pictures from the upcoming fantasy horror RED RIDING HOOD have been released yesterday. Starring Amanda Seyfried, Virginia Madsen, Gary Oldman, Lukas Haas, Julie Christie, and directed by TWILIGHT's Catherine Hardwicke, the film will follow a beautiful young girl who decides

to run away from her village with a boy she loves because her parents want her to marry someone else. But there's a little problem: a werewolf prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. The people of the village have to seek help from a famed werewolf hunter, and he warns them that the wolf, who takes

human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon, the girl begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she loves. You check the amazing trailer for RED RIDING HOOD here.

DAVID AND "GOLIATH" IN A NEW EPIC. "WONDER WOMAN" TV SHOW ISN'T HAPPENING! NAOMI HARRIS TO JOIN SF EPIC "THE DARK TOWER"? ADORABLE POSTERS FOR "RIO"!

Ah, terrible news people! We won't be seeing a WONDER WOMAN TV show, after all. Although David E. Kelley tried to sell the possible show to all major TV networks they have all rejected it according to "MovieWeb". Fox didn't find it suitable for its programme,

ABC rejected it because they are already planning HULK TV show, while CW thought it was too expensive for them. NBC and CBS both also passed on the project :( So, no WONDER WOMAN for us, at least for now.

While Javier Bardem and Viggo Mortensen are fighting for the lead role in Ron Howard's huge adaptation of Stephen King's sf epic THE DARK TOWER, we have the first candidate for the female lead as well: Naomie Harris, the hilarious Tia Dalma from PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, might play Susannah Dean, a wheelchair-bound amputee who suffers

from multiple-personality disorder and becomes a member of Roland Deschain's group known as the Ka-tet.

It seems that myths, epics and fairy tales are finally coming back to Hollywood, and Relativity Media is entering that arena with their take on GOLIATH. They have hired Scott Derrickson (THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE) to make a 300 style adaptation of the famous Bible story which follows a young Shepard named David who is set on an epic chase to save his own life and the lives of his people when the fierce warrior Goliath begins tracking down a foretold king of the Israelites. David and Goliath will battle in the climax as foretold by the original tale.
