It's comedy all the way today, spylings, to cheer you up ahead of the scorching summer weekend! Kevin Kline and Timothy Olyphant have joined comedy drama movie THE STARLING in which hilarious Melissa McCarthy and equally funny Chris O'Dowd play a married couple trying to rebuild their relationship after suffering a tragedy. While the husband heads off to deal with his grief in recovery, Lily Maynard tries to heal in the real world, one that becomes surreal when she grows a beautiful garden in their backyard, only to find herself repeatedly attacked by a starling that has built a nearby nest. She turns to a psychiatrist turned veterinarian (to be played by Kevin Kline) with baggage all his own, and who tries to help Lily with her bird problem and who ends up making a larger impact on her life.

SPACE OPERA which will be adapted into a film over at Universal by Joe Epstein. The story centres around a fierce musical contest in outer space known as the Metagalactic Grand Prix. Part gladiatorial contest, part beauty pageant, part concert extravaganza and part continuation of the wars of the past, species far and wide compete in feats of song and dance. Those who place well are revered and those who fail face sudden extermination for their entire species. However, Earth just stumbled upon this new galaxy and, in an effort of diplomacy, decides to compete and sends Decibel Jones and the Absolute Zeroes to rep the planet as they roll the dice on their fate.

Netflix has, meanwhile, released the trailer for their hilarious comedy movie SEXTUPLETS in which Marlon Wayans plays all six main characters! The story follows Alan, who grew up thinking he was an only child. Ahead of welcoming his first kid, he goes in search of his birth mother and learns the truth: he’s not an only child… not by a long shot.
Wayans also plays Alan’s sister and every single one of his four brothers: Russell (who helps Alan learn of their sextuplet status), Ethan (who can smell that “Republican money”), Baby Pete (the name matches his stature), Dawn (an exotic dancer about to be released from prison), and Jaspar (seemingly, the intellectual of the siblings). The comedy is out August 16th!

Big Bang's Jim Reynolds and Aaron Caplan. The story will follow the
nicest guy in the Midwest who moves his family into a tough
neighbourhood in L.A. where not everyone appreciates his extreme
neighbourliness. CBS is also debuting their 9JKL sitcom this Monday!
They've also ordered a pilot for Cedric the Entertainer's multicam
sitcom LADDER 54 set at a big city firehouse. Stuck at the firehouse for
long shifts, a crew of firefighters eat, sleep, live, laugh and fight
with each other, their relationships made more intense by the fact that
at any moment, they’ll be risking their lives for one another. They’re
led by a flawed but devoted captain (Cedric) whose biggest fires are in
his personal life.

LEAH REMINI REUNITES WITH KEVIN JAMES

small screen husband! Leah Remini will join Kevin James in his new sitcomKEVIN CAN WAIT at CBS, which has just been renewed for a second
season together with brilliant new comedy Superior Donuts, in the final

In the sf series a mysterious criminal steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine, intent on destroying America by changing the past. An unexpected team: a scientist, soldier and history professor must use the machine’s prototype to travel back in time to critical events. While they must make every effort not to affect the past themselves, they must also stay one step ahead of this dangerous fugitive. Can this handpicked team uncover the mystery behind it all and end his destruction before it’s too late?
SUDEIKIS IS 'SON OF ZORN' Fox has ordered unusual half hour comedy series mixing live action
with CGI characters SONOF ZORN with the voice of Jason Sudeikis. Upon
arriving home on Earth for the first time in 10 years, Zorn, a fully
animated, legendary warrior, finds that reconnecting with his
live-action son and ex-wife while suffering through a mundane office job
and the banality of suburban life is harder than waging actual war in

TV news for you this Sunday, starting with the cast round up for SyFy's new epic series VAN HELSING! Kelly Overton will lead the 13 episode drama which follows Vanessa Helsing, a descendent of the Van Helsing lineage of warriors who now must lead mankind against a world controlled by vampires in the post-Rising landscape.
Jonathan Scarfe will play Axel, a career Marine with
unwavering devotion and loyalty to both duty and his wards, despite
years of isolation and endless vampire attacks. Christopher Heyerdahl will play Sam, a survivor of the vampire Rising, who relies on his strength and observational skills to stay alive. David Cubitt is John, another survivor of the vampire Rising, whose actions are fuelled by anger, prejudice, suspicion and fear. Paul Johansson is Dimitri, a vampire turned before the Rising, he is now the patient and calculating leader of the vampires. Tim Guinee
will play Ted, a vampire foot soldier who does battle with Vanessa and
conceals a tragic past. Production starts tomorrow for Fall airing.

Meanwhile, when it comes to multi camera sitcoms, always delightful Stockard Channing is to lead NBC's new sitcom pilot ME AND MEAN MARGARET which will follow a fiercely candid and often offensive legendary actress, and the ambitious 27-year-old lawyer forced to babysit her.
'MARLON' FINDS HIS LADIES
NBC is also rounding up the cast for their sitcom MARLON! TRUTH BE TOLD's Bresha Webb will play his biggest enemy, his ex wife's best friend. In TV news, 'Deadline' reports that NBC has cast Kristen Bell and Ted Danson for their new comedy series GOOD PLACE which has been ordered straight to series in 13 episodes! It centres on Eleanor (Bell, who will not be leaving HOUSE OF LIES for this), a woman from New Jersey who comes to realize that she hasn’t been a very good person. She decides to turn over a new leaf by learning what it actually means to be “good” or “bad,” and then trying to make up for her past behaviour. Danson plays Michael, who, through an unlikely set of circumstances, comes to be Eleanor’s guide through her self-designed self-improvement course.

of DC Comics. It will focus on POWERLESS folk working there who often
envy the men and women outside their window who make headlines with
their supernatural powers.
'MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN'
