MadFabulous is out in cinemas this June

In the trailer for new period set movie directed by Celyn Jones the cast is toplined by wonderfully ripped Callum Scott Howells alongside Rupert Everett, Ruby Stokes, Paul Rhys, Louis Hynes, Louise Brealey, Tom Rhys Harries and today you can also see the first poster together with the trailer. MADFABULOUS which hits UK cinemas June 5th, is a fantastical reimagining set in the late 19th Century inspired by the life of the fifth Marquess of Anglesey. The story follows the outrageous Henry Paget, a flamboyant character, so ahead of his time that he smashes through society’s protocols of elitism and gender. Known for his gregarious theatrical expressions, exuberant sense of fashion (he dressed in outrageously crazy outfits that would make Freddy Mercury proud), and lavish social life, Paget spent a multi-million-pound fortune before his untimely death at age 29. We have first image from Channel 4 new series DEADPOINT in which Callum Scott Howells plays a climber who returns home to find his sister missing on a mountain where he once faced tragedy. As he searches for her up on Snowdonia an extremist group and police detective converge on the same peaks with different motives.  Michael Socha and our dearest Gwilym Lee, Sam Keeley, Gary Lewis and Arthur Hughes also star in the five part thriller.

Jack Lowden will star in Tornado

Arriving to Cannes Market is John Maclean's period set movie TORNADO with Jack Lowden in the lead role! Set in the rugged landscape of 1790s Britain, Tornado (Kōki), is a young and determined Japanese woman who finds herself caught in a perilous situation when she and her father’s (Takehiro Hira) travelling puppet Samurai show crosses paths with a gang of ruthless criminals led by Sugarman and his ambitious son Little Sugar (Jack Lowden). In an attempt to create a new life for herself, Tornado seizes the opportunity to take matters into her own hands and steal the gold from their most recent heist.

TO LEAD RELAX BIOPIC

Our latest info from the upcoming movie market in Cannes comes from Screen Daily: according to their sources Callum Scott Howells has been set to portray Holly Johnson in RELAX movie biopic on his famous 80s pop band Frankie Goes to Hollywood and the creation of their biggest hit "Relax" which was storming the charts back in its day. The film was written and directed by Bernard Rose who, very interestingly, directed the original music video for the said music hit. The film is based on Holly's memoirs A Bone In My Flute.

Screen Daily also reports on Mads Hedegaard's stone age set movie drama STRANGER which is set to shoot this summer for an Autumn

Danica Curcic will be the hunter tribe queen

2024 release. The film is set around 4,000 BC, during the transition from Hunter Stone Age to Peasant Stone Age. The story follows a 19-year-old girl, Aathi (Angela Budalovic), whose family are the first farmers to arrive in what is now Denmark; when her family is killed by a local tribe of hunter-gatherers, she and her brother are forced to live with the tribe in the vast and eerie forest and learn new traditions in order to survive. As the culture crash becomes more ruthless, Aathi must decide if she will take her revenge. Serbian actress Danica Curcic is playing the leader of the hunter-gatherer tribe. A Pre-Indo-European language has been developed especially for the film to ensure authenticity!
