   LUCKY TV SERIES
DREW STARKEY & ANYA TAYLOR JOY TRAILER
Apple TV Plus has released a trailer and July 15th starting date for their new limited series LUCKY executive produced by Reese Witherspoon. Drew Starkey and Anya Taylor Joy will lead the cast that will also have Annette Bening, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Timothy Olyphant.

BASED ON MARISSA STAPLEY'S
bestselling novel it centers on a young woman (Taylor-Joy) who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past. She is forced to go on the run when a multi-million-dollar heist goes sideways. Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss (Bening), Lucky must fight for her life — and a way out. Starkey will play Cary, Lucky’s husband.

  2. These are exactly the kind of series I like to watch when evening comes and the day is done. I enjoy watching other people get themselves into trouble while I sit comfortably on my sofa. 😄
It certainly looks promising. Let's just hope I don't sit down planning to go to bed at eleven and end up watching three episodes in a row.
    A big hug.

    1. Something to watch in July which is usually the dead month of summer when there is nothing new on the telly.
      Returning the hug.

  7. This looks like a solid setup for a thriller series, especially with that cast carrying it. The idea of someone trying to outrun a past life but getting pulled back in through a failed heist has been done before, but it still works when the tension is handled well. The mix of pursuers on both sides adds a nice pressure-cooker feel, and the release timing should draw a good crowd if the trailer lands right.

    1. Yes, because there is nothing else new airing in the scorching month of July.
