TO STAR IN THE SPOT HULU TV SERIES
While we are waiting for Cate Blanchett's Disclaimer series to land this Autumn, the other Kate, Kate Winslet is set lead THE SPOT eight part series for Hulu which she is also executive producing. Created by Ed Solomon, it follows a successful surgeon (Winslet) and her school teacher 
husband who suspect she might be responsible for a child’s hit-and-run death. While looking into the matter, dark secrets are revealed that will test their relationship as they confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal. There was a huge competition between the broadcasters for this project.

The picture of Kate Winslet is photoshopped so much that I couldn't even recognize her. How old is she? She has absolutely no wrinkles here..
ReplyDeleteIt is not photoshopped, just old a few years, I am having difficulty finding nice, fresh studio photos of her.
DeleteKate seems to have her hand in all the pies these days. This one does sounds good and I like that it's only 8 episodes. Enough to keep me interested but not so long I grow bored with it.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that she loves TV, most movie actors stay away from it thinking it would ruin their movie careers.
DeleteMaye it's less grueling and time consuming to do tv. She gets to stay in one place longer for shooting, I'd think. Does she have small children? Might keep her closer to home.
DeleteI think she realised at the right moment that movies are dead and that the future is on the telly and streamers. She has a grown up daughter whom she is pushing into movies, nepotism at its ugliest. They have a film together.
