NIGHT COURT SITCOM
BRINGS SMILES THIS JANUARY
The revival starts January 17th on NBC |
COURT IS BACK IN SESSION
Rather than a reboot of the original, the new Night Court will be a continuation of the original story, this time starring Judge Harry Stone's daughter, Abby Stone (Melissa Rauch), taking the reins as Judge in the courtroom. Episodes will follow a similar formula to the original Night Court as Abby and her courtroom staff tackle the day's most complicated and kooky cases that make their way to the night shift.

How fun for John Larroquette to revisit this world. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHope it will be fun, we need comedies.
DeleteI really hope that this is a good one as we haven't found any interesting sitcom in a long time. Happy New Year, Dezzy.
ReplyDeleteI haven't for years, and those that I liked got cancelled quickly, I am now following Call me Kat, which is terrible, and Bob Hearts Abishola, which is OK but becoming a bit obnoxious.
DeleteI really hope this one is good. I need a good comedy in my life right now. We've been watching so many drama series lately, and I'm just needing a change.
ReplyDeleteI do not understand why multicams are dead and every new they bring is even worse. They used to be the heart of every programme. People have become too cynical, methinks.
DeleteCan you blame them though. Everyone is offended by everything these days. We are constantly walking on eggshells. Joking is not allowed anymore because holy crap on a cracker, we've probably offended someone by trying to lighten a mood.
DeleteTrue, but jokes do not have to be political, they can be kind and warm, but there are no more good script writers, sadly, the warm humour of the 80s and 90s is simply dead as dodo, it is Satan's business.
DeleteJust watching Gilmore Girls with Allison this weekend, I was like "omg, there is so much in this that would absolutely not fly today." What once was considered wholesome entertainment would be vilified today.
DeleteI cannot cope with Gilmores anymore after what they did in that follow up season. It just destroyed them forever for me.
DeleteThat special was atrocious. I can't believe they never did a follow up and fix it for the fans. Like, nobody enjoyed that ending and we were so looking forward to a lovely "where are they now" catch up. Nope. They definitely destroyed it.
DeleteHow can you fix Rory being a hoe? Unhoe her? She should have married the rich blond hunk and never looked back, but no, she had to go the same path as her moma.
DeleteThey need to just erase that whole special from existence and redo it completely. I agree. She should have married the blonde hunk and lived lavishly and happily ever after. I think that's what we were all expecting, but noooo. They wanted to eff everything up and ruin the character. Turn her into someone so likeable into someone unrecognizable. What were they thinking!?
DeleteEspecially as he was perfection, both as person, plus the money and the looks. He was my fave of her boyfriends.
