August, 1896. Victorian London is rocked to its foundations by a
supernatural event which gives certain people - mostly women - abnormal
abilities, from the wondrous to the disturbing. But no matter their
particular “turns,” all who belong to this new underclass are in grave
danger. It falls to mysterious, quick fisted widow Amalia True (

from the video trailer, the series sound promising to watch... thank you for introduction.
ReplyDeleteThe trailer does promise lots of adventure!
DeleteDear friend! I like "SISI" costumes. They are great. Film description is really very unique: desire, power and vulnerability. I bet netflix grab it.
ReplyDeleteSisi really liked fashion and was a fashion icon of her time so I imagine the costumes will be opulent and rich :)
DeleteSomething about Dominique Davenport doesn't speak SISI to me..The Nevers seems really interesting, at least from the trailer.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, that was my first thought as well, she has no charisma nor extreme beauty that Sisi needs to have, but maybe she won't be as bland in the series as she is in these pics.
DeleteThe historical background of London in 1896 is what interests me to continue this film.
ReplyDeleteThe costumes are also beautiful. Regards
It was a dark and dirty place, but filled with innovations and magic.
DeleteI saw The Nevers mentioned yesterday but didn't have a chance to watch the trailer. Gonna be another violent once. lol
ReplyDeleteYep, it seems they only make them that way these days.
DeleteShe has an amazing dress❤
ReplyDeleteHope the other ones will be equally lush.
DeleteSisi sounds amazing. While the actress is pretty, she doesn't scream "prettiest woman in Europe" to me, though.
ReplyDeleteDefo not! I thought she was supposed to have long, curly, honey locks.
DeleteI think they both look good. I agree with the others about the actress doesn't necessarily embody the pretties woman in Europe, hopefully she'll do the character justice anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe Nevers I wasn't sure about when you first mentioned it here, but I kind of liked the trailer for it, so we'll give it a try.
I feel like won't get enough of Riley and Norton in Nevers and tons of dreary Donelly and Skelly, who both have zero charisma, so I'm on the fence with it.
