  1. Yes, Bloom seems to be 'my cup of tea" - an intriguing, engaging thriller.
It has things I don't want (flooding and its consequences), and things I do want (a youth restoring plant).

I'm very scared of floodings - childhood trauma (we lived close to a nasty, overflowing river). I think it's not wise to live near a body of water, near forests (see California fires), near a volcano, on an island.

As for the plant, I want it but I won't be killing to get it.
Which reminds me,I have a house plant called 'lucky bamboo'. It's the only one I've been successful with. I feel it does good things for me, but I'm yet to find out what.

    1. I agree, I've never wanted to live anywhere near water, it just scares me. I have a roof balcony and the thought of rain storm flooding it scares me so much that I've put blinds on the balcony which can close it down totally when shut.
People say I look ten years younger and are usually shocked when they hear my age. I'm a vegetarian :) I do strongly believe that if we would all stop using any industrial food and products we'd probably live up to 150 years which is what doctors believe is our natural life span. Of course, to do this, we'd all have to move to Caucasus and live there in hovels and caves :)

  2. Interesting premise. It would be nice to have a youth-restoring plant, but I'm not sure I'd want to live longer and deal with problems over and over again.

  3. Well, seems you and I have our own little anti-aging secret. I'm not sure even I know what it is, but we are doing pretty well for our age ;)

    1. mine is that I started using creams before I was 30, then used Dove throughout my 30s which kept my face hydrated, always drunk enough water, went vegetarian, ate tons of seeds and the most important of all - kept away from sun, sun is death to the skin.

    2. I started using creams at 19, so that must be the key. I did use to bake myself in the tanning bed in my late teens and early 20's, but thankfully I stopped doing that before the damage really set in. I do still like to sunbathe at the beach, but I slather on the sunscreen until I'm drowning in it. Water all day every day, unless it's a hot cuppa tea. And lots of sleep. I absolutely need 8 hours. If I only get like 6 a night, I will schedule a nap for the afternoon to catch up on 2 hours that I lost.

    3. I do seven hours, because I don't have more time, but it is always seven! The problem with the sun is that skin remembers, even when you had one sunburn the cancer might appear decades later on that very spot :( with some people.... The experts say that if we did not expose ourselves to the sun we would not have a single line till we're 80 at least. This is confirmed by truck drivers who usually have more lines and wrinkles on the side of the face exposed to the window.

  4. I can surely use some of that youth-generating plant as well..
