JEAN PIERRE JEUNET'S NEW VISUAL FEAST "MICMACS"

Jean-Pierre Jeunet, the man behind "Amelie", "A Very Long Engagement", "Delicatessen" and "The City of the Lost Children", whose movies always represent visual feasts, with crazy characters, complex imaginative plots and ingenious stories, is bringing us a new slice of fried madness in "MicMacs" – and you can check out the new trailer to give you a better taste of what is in store.
The main hero of "MicMacs" is Bazil (played by French star Dany Boon) who is accidentally shot in the head and finds his whole life turned upside down. Homeless, he ends up being taken in by a group of eccentrics, and starts to plot with them to take down the source of all his woes: the weapons manufacturers responsible for the bullets that hit him and killed his father years before. “MicMacs” are out in America this May, while we Europeans shall see it from February.

NEW CHARACTER PICS FROM "THE LAST AIRBENDER"

TheLastAirbenderFans.com has just published the first glimpses of characters such as Suki, Katara, and Sokka from M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming movie (You can see them above and bellow). Last week we've already had a chance to see the new "The Last Airbender" posters and TV spot. The movie is out this summer. As Beyond Hollywood reports according to the first gossips from the early test screening for the movie recently held in Arizona the film won't be as big as we would like. Some of the comments are very negative trashing the acting performances by the young actors, while some others put the movie in the line with some of the most childish fantasy movies. We shall have to wait and see ourselves.

TAYLOR LAUTNER IS STRETCH ARMSTRONG

Well, this way or another, it seems young Taylor Lautner will play a toy hero in a Hollywood movie. Although there were gossips before how he could be new Max Steel from Mattel's toyline, Universal Pictures have announced this weekend that Taylor Lautner will play the title character in the upcoming 3D superhero adventure "Stretch Armstrong" planned for 2012.
The 3D superhero adventure, based on Hasbro's famous toy action figure, will use Lautner's global popularity among kids and teenagers to score success at the box office. As one of the producers said about Taylor: He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power. Academy Award-winning producer Brian Grazer will team with Hasbro to bring Stretch Armstrong to life.

CHARMING NEW POSTERS FOR THE CHESHIRE CAT AND THE WHITE RABBIT FROM "ALICE IN WONDERLAND"

"MTV Movies Blog" has just premiered two charming new character posters for the highly-anticipated "Alice in Wonderland". If you click on the image above you shall see the new poster images of irresistibly adorable The Cheshire Cat and naughty The White Rabbit. Tim Burton's new film hits theaters on March 5.

"DAREDEVIL" WILL DARE TO APPEAR IN CINEMAS AGAIN

Another new day, another new reboot, another new day, another new super hero up on the big screen. "Movieweb" reports that another Marvel superhero is coming back to cinemas. Apparently Fox is giving the reboot treatment to "Daredevil". David Scarpa ("The Day the Earth Stood Still") has been hired to write the new script and Peter Chernin will produce. It seems that one of the reasons for the remake is so Fox can retain the rights to the property, otherwise it will revert back to Marvel, which was purchased by Disney last year.
As you know Ben Affleck has played this guy who is blind but has a heightened "radar sense" that allows him to see far better than any man. He works as a respected criminal attorney, but after he's done his day job he takes on a secret identity as "The Man Without Fear" Daredevil, the masked avenger that patrols the neighborhood of New York City to combat the injustice that he cannot tackle in the courtroom.

RYAN MCPARTLIN IS THE NEW CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!

Now this could be one the best superhero related news I've ever heard. According to fresh rumors, one of my favourite TV actors Ryan McPartlin ("Chuck", "Living with Fran")might be our new Captain America. He has confirmed yesterday that he recently auditioned for the role of Steve Rogers in "The First Avenger: Captain America":
The one thing I can't stand are these actors that are twittering about auditioning for Captain America. It's really tacky. With that said, it is in the casting process and like many other actors, I read for it, so we'll wait and see what happens. Regardless, I'm pretty psyched to be Captain Awesome (on "Chuck") for the time being.
Back in January he was also asked about possibly playing Captain America since a huge number of fans would like to see him in the role, and here's what he said back then:
Yeah, you know, there’s some Internet buzz out there that I’d be a good Captain America, and I’m not going to try and tell them I wouldn’t want to play that role. I’d love for them to get somebody like me, a little more obscure that the audience and our geeks would love to push for.
I must admit if this proves true, and our charming Ryan really gets the part of his life, I think it could possibly be the first super hero movie in which I'd be absolutely happy with the choice for the leading role.

FIVE MONSTROUS NEW POSTERS FOR "CLASH OF THE TITANS"

It seems the producers of this year's biggest epic adventure "Clash of the Titans" have decided to show us all of the scary creatures and monsters which will give some serious troubles to Sam Worthington and his fellow cast members when they launch their quest in 3D on April 2. If you click on these pictures (to view them in their full magnificence) you will see five new exclusive posters and banners for this movie. Following the adventures of brave Perseus "Clash of the Titans" stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Jason Flemyng, Alexa Davalos ....

EXCLUSIVE SUPER BOWL TEASER FOR "ROBIN HOOD"

Here's another exclusive Super Bowl TV Spot, this time for Ridley Scott's upcoming historical action "Robin Hood". I must admit I'm still not impressed: the movie just isn't visually alluring with all those grayish colours and cold scenes. And again they decided not to show us almost anything from Cate Blanchett. Starring Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle and Max von Sydow the movie opens this May. What do you think?

ROMAN EPIC "THE EAGLE OF THE NINTH" GETS OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE

Kevin MacDonald's epic film "The Eagle of the Ninth" starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell, has finally got an official release date. The long awaited adventure will premiere on September 24.

Based on the classic novel of the same name, "The Eagle of the Ninth" is set in the dangerous world of second-century Britain. In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth. Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian’s Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth.

BEYONCE AND RUSSELL CROWE IN THE REMAKE OF "A STAR IS BORN"?

Hollywood Spy has already mentioned how Warner Bros. was planning a remake of the 1976 film "A Star Is Born". The main star of the talks was Beyonce who was and still very is interested to take the main role, but she will need a gentleman in the movie. According to "The Los Angeles Times" Russell Crowe has become the studio's top candidate to star in the remake. Although I really don't like Russell, I must admit I hate other two choices much more than him: apparently Sean Penn and Robert Downey Jr. were also considered for the role.

The story, which might be directed by Nick Cassavettes, centers on a former music legend-turned-alcoholic, who begins to mentor a young female singer, who he then starts falling for. As you remember the stars of the 70's movie were Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
