After a successful run over at U&Alibi channel cosy crime period set series BOOKISH is getting a second season which will see Mark Gatiss return to the role of 1946. London book keeper turned investigator with Polly Walker as his wife and Connor Finch as his right hand. Joining them in the new season are Miranda Richardson, Jason Watkins, Rupert Graves to name just some of the more famous names. In the new season he will investigate the world of spiritualism, a murder of a tailor, and will spend Christmas in a German village with thieving duchess played by Richardson.

Hitting small screens this week, August 20th over at U&Alibi channel in UK is Welsh six part series MUDTOWN a fresh, pacy crime thriller driven by brilliant, unique central characters and set in the atmospheric and visually distinctive city of Newport, Wales. At its heart is Claire (Erin Richards), a passionate local magistrate placed in a morally compromising situation when Pete (Tom Cullen), a charismatic gangster comes back into her life. Throughout six edge-of-your-seat episodes, Claire is forced to confront the blurred lines between right and wrong as her maternal instincts begin to clash with her duty to uphold the law.
