romantic comedy LOVE IN THE VILLA will make you fall in love with him if you haven't already (that is if you have been blind or some- thing).

Out Sept- ember 1st on Netflix, it follows Julie Hutton’s (Kat Graham, I've never heard of her before, but in some scenes she kinda looks old enough to be his mother) lifelong dream vacation is to visit Verona, the “City of Love” where Romeo and Juliet became star-crossed lovers. And Julie’s dream trip might just end in marriage with her boyfriend, Brandon (Raymond Ablack). Before embarking on their journey, though, Julie is blindsided when Brandon dumps her. But, ever the hopeless romantic, she decides to fly solo to Verona and just see what happens. Julie’s arrival at the Villa Romantica doesn’t start off in the most relaxing way when she discovers that her room is already occupied. It turns out that the rental has been overbooked, and she must now share it with Charlie (Tom Hopper), a wildly handsome but unfriendly British man in town for business. Although the unexpected roommates clash like the Montagues and Capulets at first, Julie makes the most of the situation and sees that she just might get her Shakespeare love story after all. The film was both written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson.

Well we can certainly never get enough of him: one of the hottest Blond gods TV has even seen Tom Hopper of Merlin, Black Sails and Umbrella Academy will do a romcom for Netflix. He and Kat Graham will lead LOVE IN THE VILLA  which follows a young woman who takes a trip to romantic Verona, Italy, after a breakup, only to find that the villa she reserved was double booked, and she’ll have to share her vacation with a cynical (and very good looking) British man. Production will start this month in Verona and the film will premiere globally on the streamer in 2022. Mark Steven Johnson is directing the movie.

Ellen Page has previously been cast as the black sheep of the family, Vanya, the only one without super powers.

Two programmes today that I've forgot to mention before and they are already airing, but it is never too late to catch up. BARBARIANS RISING is already on at History Channel around the world (mostly on Tuesday evenings, methinks). It is a mix of docu series with lavish live action scenes and it has a stellar cast including our beloved MERLIN and BLACK SAILS star Tom Hopper and Ben Batt whom we loved in GO BETWEEN.
