FOR THE FINAL THIRD SEASON!
The most heartbreaking of news, my Davincians! Starz has decided that the third season of the world wide popular historical series DA VINCI'S DEMONS will be the final one
rounding up Leonardo's (Tom Riley) adventure this October when the concluding season will sail onto the small screens together with the Ottoman fleet which Leo has to fight off from the Italian coast. You can check out the stunning trailer for the final chapter as well as the brand new poster. This isn't a big surprise, since the show was delayed from airing at its usual April slot, the show runner was changed and Starz also finished other mega popular epic series SPARTACUS in the third season too. Or maybe, with OUTLANDER, 
and BLACK SAILS Starz can't keep up with another expensive epic series, even though its, by far, the best one among the three?

and resume a dangerous quest, all while knowing that he is his own
worst enemy. Blake Ritson returns as Count Riario, Elliot Cowan as
Lorenzo Medici, Laura Haddock as Lucretia and Kieran Bew as the prince of Otranto.

JAMEL DEBBOUZE TO LEAD
AMIN MAALOUF'S 'LEO THE AFRICAN' EPIC ADAPTATION
Speaking of Ottomans, they will be mentioned in the adaptation of historical novel LEO THE AFRICAN from Amin Maalouf, one of 
my personal favourite writers, I must admit. 'Deadline' reports that French star Jamel Debbouze will play the title role of Hasan Al Wazzan the 16th century traveller and writer. Based on a true story, the book follows Hassan’s childhood in Fez, Morocco, having fled the Spanish Inquisition, through his many journeys as a merchant. Along the way, he encounters, pirates, slave girls and princesses, witnessing a world in flux. In the book, Hasan undergoes his
own multi-faith journey, performing his hajj to Mecca, then converting to Christianity, only to return to the Muslim faith in later life. The epic story journeys through the fall of Granada, the Ottoman conquest of Egypt and Renaissance Rome under the Medicis.
